I love Stellaris. Very fun game. Shame that I suck at it :P

My favorite empire to play is the Unica Domination, basically slaver snow leopards. Unfortunately it makes for rather difficult games because almost everyone ends up hating them.

This sounds neat. What's the Civics, Traits, Origin, etc? =D

Last time I played them (or rather, tried to) they were a Theocratic Monarchy. Ethics are Authoritarian, Xenophobe, Spiritualist, with Slaver Guilds and Aristocratic Elite Civics. For the species traits I went with Decadent, Traditional and Charismatic, all set on an Arctic World with Prosperous Unification Origin. I'll probably adjust things a little for my next attempt.

I create empires randomly with fleshed back stories. My personal favourite because I'm a loser human is the union of Soviet star republics :D every joins me ^^ I force friends! Aliens are equals :D

But I have a neato hive that is a long dormant and slow evolving thing that suddenly burst out, i have a criminal syndicate that was originally a small mercantile empire but pushed off their Homeworld so they are more cutthroat and ruthless... I got plenty if you are interested.

Been playing it for years! Granted, modded to hell and back. But still.

My main in SP is actually a human faction, the KKND. Militaristic/egalitarian/materialist democracy. They usually end up psionic (somehow) and having fleets large enough to curbstomp FEs. Because of that they tend to end up with a pile of vassals and lots of diplomatic weight.

For multiplayer games I go for the Osparan Star Hegemony. Fanatic materialist space peacocks. They're explosive breeders and highly adaptive, meant for a straight-game population/tech rush and rapid expansion, as the game meta boils down to as many pops on as many worlds as possible.

Fox people. Very adaptive with - governing ethics and -unruly as the negs. Fanatic materialists with a dot in egalitarian. Technocratic with beacon of liberty. I take the background that starts you with robots.. in game I just take the first dip in the synth path.. turning them into cyborgs. but usualy don't go full synthetic because I like having the dual population growth going with bots being made and pops being born. I like to get the Planet city thing as early as I can and shift all my alloys and consumer goods to one or more of them.

I tend to use a mod that expands the versatility of options for empires significantly., as such I could show one of mine, but it might have a lot of unfamiliar stuff!

I don't use mods usually. But I did for a while. :)

I use about 4 that, at this point, I can't even play the game without anymore.

its a fun game, play it all the time. I usually play with the void born (the ones where you start off in stations and nearly all planets are a no go), for the simple reason that you can tell what each station does really easily. example, one builds only forges and civilian industries, another gardens, and the last one administrator buildings to keep the empire sprawl down. even if you get screwed over in the start cause your surrounded you can easily get enough surprise and what not just by building more stations.

nice, tho do have to be careful cause if you research the habitat upgrades first your going to be lacking in other departs, like better miners, hangers, better metal forges for said upgrades, ect
