Before its easier to die with a disability in this country then it is to get a job. though then again its pretty much the same for the whole planet. Especially with my combo.
The government is going to study the "system" for 2 years to determine how many structural failures there are pushing people like me into MAID instead of actually fixing society but I don't expect much to happen.
But will see.
Remember there isn't much treatment for me nor is there really any funding for counseling (not that it can fixed fucked up hands or slow brains) or accommodation (developmentally disabled people of which i am not get 90% wage subsidies) but at least they can come up with something.
Who knows maybe this "commission" in terms of saving people from medically killing themselves may be able to fix some of the failures of canadian society in fixing its failures of disabled people.
If not then I guess we will be seeing euthanasia vans rolling down the street in the next 5-10 years killing off those who have concluded their "suffering is intolerable" and the government "isn't responsible for their care anymore"
