Diapered Randall Story Contest(?) for B-Day!

Hey everyone! Rigel here! Been a bit, I know, but the start of this year has been rather overbearing due to a multitude of issues, but we're hanging in there as best we can mange. Was originally going to do this closer to the start of March, but things kept popping up and decided to put it off till things got more stable, and was eventually thinking not to do it all. But, with about a week left....I decided, why not just throw it out there!
About a week from now is Randall's birthday! Like last year, wanted to do something for the guy given the stuff he's been through and how cool he's been with us and the little guy since, so I ran a little contest for stories about him! Oh yeah...and to make him feel better about his recovery from all the stuff he's gone through, I made it a "Diapered Randall" contest. Figured a few situations with him and the things would cheer him up about it.
Anyhoo, I was ambivalent, as I'm not usually a fan of contests for some reasons, but the it didn't really go anywhere, getting only one participant...but what a participant. Leon XIII did a fantastic job, giving a lengthy story that was a pretty fun read. He didn't even ask for a prize, imagine that! (For an added bit of irony, did you know that in the French version of Monsters Inc., Randall's name is Leon?)
I debated on whether to have a contest again, but this close, decided to just throw it out there for the guy's birthday and see what happens. Hopefully some potential writers out there or those with experience can flex their creativeness with the criteria to celebrate this purple lizard's b-day as fan gratis, either for him or for us here!
For those who DO want a reward...I suppose a 'comic slide' could be one (such as this one: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31441074/). Though for those who want that, do Note us BEFORE you begin, as we want to make sure we're capable of making what it is before people put the 'work' in as it were.
Just a few things to keep in mind for the don'ts (might increase):
X Red Border Material (Keep it clean!)
X Mind / Hypnosis (Too forceful)
X Cloth Diapers (Pins hurt! Disposables far better.)
X Dirty Diapers (Wet/Changing is fine)
X Anthropomorphism (As in transforming into humans that is)
And here's a reminder of some things about Randall for scene inspiration!
- Quite a multitasker with four hands and four feet, not to mention a tail!
- He can walk on walls!
- Practically perfect invisibility on command.
- Knows how to scare people if he wants to.
- Dedicated to what he does.
- Has a knack for mechanical engineering.
- Despite reptilian features, unlike me he's warm blooded.
The "cut-off" date for this 'contest' is March 26, Randall's birthday, but might increase it or so depending on how things go.
There's a whole bunch of material writers can work with! From the factory of Monsters Inc. to the whole of a Monster WORLD to work with! Honestly, the franchise is so huge, it's so bizarre how they didn't tap into it with a series till...well....now (in July actually). The source material may not paint Randall so well on the outside, but he's really not a bad guy when you dig a little deeper and get to know him.
If people need inspiration outside MI material, take a look at the material here in our gallery! Or, take a gander at Leon XIII's great entry (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/35604728/) from last year. Good length, fun situations, worked with a lot of Randall's talents. Granted, Randall went through a bit of a grinder in that story (ouch), but it seemed to end on a note for improvement for the guy, and it's still a fun read!
Anyway, we'll see how this goes, and thanks to those who participate in one way or another to help out, as such fun stories (such as Leons) gave a brief respite to all the whiplash of life at the time, and most of us can sure use that!
