Requiem for a Death God

Good day demons and demon hunters!
Haven't made any big announcements since I finished Astraifort Estate. That’s because I have been busy planning my next projects, reading, studying books on storytelling, looking for new things to play with, and most important; I have been exploring other people’s projects in the furry fandom. But after spending more than a year on these things, I am ready to update you all about my latest projects.
But first things first:
I hope everybody is doing great and recovering from the mess that 2020 was.
I am forever grateful that during this time, Astraifort Estate keeps reaping favs from everybody along with 'Broken ritual' and my latest writings: 'Paper rebels' and 'Slip and sleep'.
Also, thanks to everyone who has followed me on Twitter and retweets my stuff. Many thanks to the people who also follow me on itch.io and pour some love on Astraifort Estate over there. I'm really grateful for all the love and attention you all have given to the rest of my works on Furaffinity and on SoFurry.
While 2020 and the lock down it brought with it made huge (but temporary) changes in the way I work (and like, for everybody else), I tried to make the best out of it. I used part of this time to play several video games that I couldn't play earlier because AE kept me so busy.
Among the big games I played, I really loved playing Divinity: Original Sin 2. That game got me so hooked that I replayed it several times (I never really replay games) and I am still itching to go back and replay some more. The story is really good and I recommend it to anyone who likes RPG's.
But outside of that, I had a great time enjoying things created by the furry fandom. I enjoyed playing several Visual Novels and platformers made by this great community. And while I had a great time with many of those, there are a couple in specific that I'd love to mention and recommend because of their storytelling aspects, VNs like Adastra and Kingsguard.
About Adastra, all I can say is that it is as good as everybody says.
Howly is an incredible writer with lots of talent as a storyteller. He’s a master of his craft and he does a great job in unfolding the story of Amicus in his quest to become the ruler of the wolf empire. I wish Howly lots and lots of health and I send him my thanks for creating such an amazing VN <3
Also, kudos to HAPS for creating the art for Adastra. I have always loved the way he portraits hypnosnakes and I absolutely adore what he did with Adastra to bring Amicus and the rest of the crew to life.
If you haven't played Adastra, stop reading this and download it from their itch.io page. Also if you can, drop on their Patreon and help the whole echogame crew to create more and more of these amazing VNs.
Now, onto Kingsguard.
Kingsguard, well, it is also a VN, and probably one that not everyone might have heard of, which is a shame >: It is a great visual novel that deserves some love too.
In Kingsguard, you play as a prince who is forced into an auto exile from his kingdom after the king of your nation is murdered by an unknown force. Because of these events, you have to explore the world beyond your lands guarded by either Leandro (lion), Koshiro (fox and my personal favorite one!) or Ramos (rhino). You must remain on the move to stay safe from this mysterious enemy who's actively hunting you down while you and your chosen guardian try to figure out more about this opposing force.
Depending on who you choose to travel with, you will experience a different face of the story. But you need to play all three stories in order to understand what happened that terrible day, why it happened and who is this powerful enemy you are facing. While you travel, you’ll develop a deep connection with your Kingsguard.
If you decide to give it a go, there will be an incredible story waiting for you :>
Go to hiddenwall's itch.io page and give it a go. I loved it lots myself and I am sure you will love it enough to drop a couple of bucks on Hiddenwall's patreon to help him develop this amazing adventure.
Besides, every character you'll meet is a beefcake thanks to thebigslick's mad drawing skills ;>
Also, I would like to recommend Killigan’s treasure and Identity. They seem good so far and I will certainly keep an eye on ‘em myself.
Now, playing all these amazing works of art fueled up my own creative fires. And I too have to keep on pouring some of my love into this great fandom. So, I am (finally) ready to talk about what I'm currently working on:
This next project of mine is an idea that was born right after I finished writing Hotel Emperador. But back then, it wasn't really well-cooked. So, I took the time to create Astraifort Estate while I gave the idea more time to cook slowly.
I wrote bits and pieces here and there during the production of AE and I even discussed the plot with some of the AE beta testers and they really liked it.
The name of this Novel is "Requiem for a Death God" and it is going to be a brand new story in the demon hunting universe that I'm creating.
This is going to be a full length novel and not just a short novel/novella like I have done before. Requiem will be set 20 years after the events of Astraifort Estate and one year before the events from Hotel Emperador. It will also run at the same time as ‘Slip and Sleep’ and ‘Paper Rebels’.
My aim is to make “Requiem for a Death God” a story much more engaging than what Hotel Emperador was, and a lot stronger on the storytelling aspect than what Astraifort Estate is.
This novel is going to be mostly about mystery and drama, (like Hotel Emperador) but I am planning to add a bit of sex in thie mix. (unlike HE)
This doesn’t mean that I have forgotten about the people who love kinky writings.
I am also planning to write a novella with lots and lots of kinky sex. This one is still somewhat undercooked, but I think it will be ready for a formal announcement soon along with a fixed date for the publication of the first chapter for Requiem.
At the moment of this writing, I have already written the first 4 chapters and the last chapter for Requiem. So, I am hoping to give you something to read soonish!
What is Requiem going to be about? Here’s a synopsis to close this announcement.
Love and pizza for y'all! :>
Varabol, the green dragon, is a demon hunter with a promising career inside 'The Crew of the Ghost Soldiers.' Things are so good for him that he’s about to be promoted as the second in charge of the whole crew, the one thing that he has always dreamt of since he was recruited at a very young age.
But one night, he gets his aspirations crushed when Visandro, the son of the leader of the clan, accuses him of high betrayal for something that he didn't do.
This earns Varabol an immediate expulsion from his clan and the hatred of Zantazar: the leader of the clan, his adoptive father, and the man who he has admired and respected the most in his entire life.
Unfairly exiled from his clan and the only life he has ever known, Varabol has to struggle in an uphill battle against his former clanmates to prove his innocence. All while he’s also forced by circumstances to fight claw and fang against Visandro's demonic plot which is quickly escalating into a devastating fruition.
Will Varabol manage to prove his innocence in time to protect his family? Or will the dragon allow himself to get sidetracked after stumbling upon the one thing that his clan has always strictly forbid him:
A deep, meaningful and loving relationship with another man.

Can't wait to read them both ❤️
In the meantime I'll check out a few of those VNs you mentioned I haven't checked our yet >> honestly been quite into them lately and was itching for a new one so this is perfect for me.
I loved Kingsguard myself. and Identity really has some nice potential so I am looking forward to see how things goes. But in the meantime, gotta keep on hitting those keys and come up with something of my own.
Perhaps one of these days I should give VN's a try and bring something to the table too! but first things first, gotta get good with narrative~
