May I suggest the ORAS remakes. Possibly my favorite games, especially since Emerald was my first experience with pokemon.

I do have Alpha Sapphire so that is a possibility. I would be extremely tempted to use the Dexnav though ahah >D

I've seen other artists do comics based on their Nuzlockes. Maybe you could do something like that.

Original first. Then whatever pokemon you get along the way you're not allowed for HG/SS? See if that makes it harder.

Crystal was probably one of my favorites. That and Yellow lol. So, if you have it, my suggestion is Crystal!

Well for a first time, playing Emerald or the remakes would be perfect (I like Emerald a bit more). Nuzlockes are also fun because of the strong bond you can have with your pokemon team. I'm not sure about all the rules you're going to use but it's usually hard to keep alive a pokemon you found from the very beginning of the game. Maybe at the end you could draw that pokemon of your team you love the most

I've done a Nuzlocke of nearly all of the games so far except Sword/Shield. My two favorite to do were Platinum and Black, though I did enjoy doing an X Nuzlocke as well.
