The Benefits of Flipping your Canvas UPSIDE DOWN
4 years ago
Surely everyone is familiar with flipping your canvas horizontally to get a different perspective on your work but have you considered the other possibilities of viewing your artwork?
I know it may seem outrageous to view your work upside down but don't knock it until you try it! It’s not only useful for a different perspective but if you have enough control, you can manage to achieve that “missing piece” to your work. A line you can’t get right, slimming the face is coming out too wide, the color seems off, and many other things can be seen and done by just flipping your canvas upside down.
I’m not saying to replace your habits of flipping horizontally but if it’s not cutting it for you, flip it vertically! Try it out for yourself.
