So, for a lot of people, me included, paying $100+ for a piece of art is a massive expense. And it's keeping a lot of us from getting really cool art!
Complaining to the artists that their art is too expensive is a bit of a douche thing to do. BUT, what if there was a lottery?
So you don't want to pay 100 buckos for a piece of art. But what about paying 2 buckos or so, for a CHANCE to get a piece of art?
You'd pay to the artist, and get a number from them. And when enough people have bought a "ticket", the artist eventually will have enough money, and can draw a random number. Like a raffle, but the artist gets paid!
Not sure about the legality of this, but I like the idea and would like some artists to try it. :3

Has anyone done something like this? I've never seen it.
