I suppose you could say I am, although I prefer the term "anthro", because "furry" tends to have a lot of negative stereotypes associated with it.

I'm single at the moment, but the closest thing I have to a girlfriend right now, yes, she's also anthro.

*How long have you been in the community?
8 to 10 years, I guess? It's been a while.

*How did you find furry?
I was into anthro animals long before I found "furry": Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Street Sharks, hell, even Care Bears. I don't actually remember how I got into the online community.

*What's your reason for furry (what interested you to get into the community)?
Mostly the art. I'm fairly (read: very) quiet in the community itself. I mostly hang around to enjoy the pretty pictures, and also to indulge in a few kinks that are less accepted "outside" than they are among furries. Also RP. :P

*What's Furry to you?
This is too complicated a question to answer at 9 in the morning!

*If someone found out you're a furry and asked you about it how would you respond?
Yes, I'm furry. No, whatever stereotype you're thinking of, I'm not it.

*What are your favorite aspects of our community?
I'd have to say the art, plus some of the neat people I've met. :3

No. Most of those terms I associate with people who get a little too scary deep into the fandom.

*What do you wish furry was NOT associated with?
The fucked up sexual stuff, because that's what the world in general now associates with furry, which is why I actually even dislike using the word "furry". You mention it and people immediately think things like sex in fursuits, bestiality, weird shit (literally) like dirty diapers being a turn on, things like that. I hate having to constantly feel like I have to defend myself to "outsiders" as someone who DOESN'T do those things.

*How strongly do you feel about someone bashing the community as a whole?
I don't feel much of anything at all, to be honest, because I understand where they're probably coming from. Hell, I myself have something of a love/hate relationship with the community, because there are some really sick fucks in it.

*How strongly do you feel about anyone bashing you yourself for your interest based on the media's aspect of what furry is?
I've never been actively "bashed" for my interest. I'm usually pretty careful about who I tell about being furry, and more than once I've been pleasantly surprised by the response of "don't worry, I'm furry too".

*We all know furries have alot of sexual aspects in this fandom, What's your opinion on it?
What you do with your own time is your business, not mine. But I'm still going to think you're weird or outright disgusting if you go airing that stuff in public. On the other hand, I do enjoy the relative freedom the fandom gives me to enjoy my own more, uh... "exotic" kinks.

The PocketFox, a non-anthro fennec fox with green eyes and a taste for sitting in pockets, laps, cleavage, and other things; and Ambereyes, a gold wolf.

*Do you have any fetishes that pertain to the fandom?
Yes. Although the idea of actually having sex with an animal or a child in real life makes me ill, I do actually enjoy a lot of bestiality- and cub-themed art. Go figure.

Yes, the red fox.

I went to Conifur once, when I was sixteen and very impressionable. It was overall a regrettable experience. I might go now that I'm older and more aware of what the community is like, but I don't know.

I don't know any other furries in my area, let alone enough of them for "meetups".

Sure, why not. So long as things didn't get "yiffy".

Yes, I have.

*Has the fandom done anything for you that you're thankful for? Has it taught you anything or brought you anything you treasure greatly?
Um... to be honest, no, not really. Whatever furry friends I have, I met them outside the community, before I knew they were furry. For me, this is just another fandom, and not even as important a one to me as, say, anime or WoW.

In all honesty, the biggest thing I've learned by being part of the furry fandom is a negative one, and it's that in some cases, most of those bad stereotypes you hear about *insert group here* are actually true. Kind of sad, really.
