(Vent) Education System being a failure
Imagine studying a degree and mastering your L2 language beyond a proficiency level to the point you become obsessed with it. You think you've got a future as a language teacher, but then language schools prefer natives (without formation) over non-natives (with formation) for no fucking reason, but: "t H e Y a R e N a T i V e S". That basically destroys the opportunity of finding a workplace for those who've studied for more than 4 years, whereas the lazy asses that travel to other countries are hired and positioned higher.
Being native of a region and speaking a language isn't reason enough to become a teacher, because you may probably not be able to tell the reason why certain features of a language happen, among others. (That is, descritpive grammar).
I hope this stupid naïve mentality of "being born in another country makes people magically capable of being a teacher" finally vanishes in language schools.
TLDR: Native-speaker or not, do have some formation before teaching.

People who went through the pain of learning a foreign language can teach it MUCH better to others than those who only learned it when they were young.
I can teach people a bit of Japanese, but couldn't teach a fucking bit of German! Mostly because our language makes no fucking sense to me. xD Even loss now that feminism got added.
And by that I mean we now have to say vertain things gender specific.
Before: "Liebe Kunden" (Dear customers)
Now: "Liebe Kunden und Kundinnen" (Dear customers and costomeresses)
We even have a female word for "Cheerleader" now :D
However, imo, including female, male, or even neutral words because some jobs or actions can be done by men and women are quite fine. is like in English: waitress (f) -> waiter (m) / server (n) which adapts to the circumstances and makes the language richer and... maybe not that sexist haha. What do you think? Thank you for your explanation ^^
