(Martial law doesn't exactly exist in Canada because of how the divisions between military and civilian institutions are divided, because we can call upon the military to enforce domestic law at any time unlike in the US or other similar countries.)
We're getting a curfew and the power of police to detain and question anyone on sight for no reason. That means you can get fined for leaving your house without an approved reason. Under the Reopening Ontario Act
The mass potential jailing (or seizures of properties) of people who wont pay their "Ontario Reopening Act Fines" that are gonna stem from this bullshit... (if the courts ever get through the backlog of ~15 million repeat offenders)

Yet it ain't gonna stop a virus that doesn't seem to be responding to current quarantine efforts and has moved on to more "delicious" young and healthy people-- instead of embarrassing the Local long term care system and killing off lots of old and frail people.
Modelling suggests that our system will be overwhelmed in ICU beds to the point we have to ration ventilators (Like in Italy in April of 2020 I believe) in 4 weeks.
I have my thoughts related to things that are not appropriate for this site thanks to circumstantial evidence...

With Ontario Digital ID making your identification your phone (the nfc chip in it which are how similar systems work in other countries) going to completely and Manditorily replace our plastic cards in the next 6 months to a year...
(I don't have ~400 dollars for an NFC capable phone)
I can say only one thing.

My taxes are gonna be late because I cant print them out and im not allowed to go visit my dad to get them done. They have to be in by APR 30 and can neither afford the $120 in printer ink or obtain printer ink as it is "not an essential good"
A PRINTED COPY of my tax return is necessary because I am in CONSTANT contact with Revenue Canada and they verify by box numbers on your most recent (this year's) return. Mail right now is not accessible and i would have to wait 2 weeks to paper verify every time i call them or log in.(The beast again -.-)
I only have $9 to my name at this point so booking a proper appointment with H+R CROOK is impossible.
I'm going to lose 1200 dollars from next years budget because of it.
(Or I risk a $768 dollar fine by visiting my mom dad during "emergency measures")

For about 95% of tax returns tax software is pretty cheap and easy to use (unless your self employed or have a large investment portfolio mostly). Some small returns are free.
I can only speak for Canadian returns though, and somewhat for American ones.
My problem is that i need a print out and i have no ink, otherwise id do it free myself online and not worry.
I have to wait anyways because I lost last years notice of assessment and I cant do my taxes without one of these:

I have no access to my online CRA account right now so i have to wait for them to mail in a code. Its been a stressful day because of it. x.x
Ah okay. That makes sense. Everyone and everything just keeps getting more and more expensive. DX
My mother knows a personal friend that's really good with taxes and such. We always use him every year.
