I closed the damn thing without noticing a piece of offcut plastic from a mini I had been building was between two of the keys.

The glass itself survived but put too much pressure on the lcd or whatever it is underneath. Now two thirds of it light up but show nothing, and the part I can see is the side OPPOSITE of where the fucking taskbar and start menu are.

And the place I planned to take it to get fixed decided to close early today. Fuckin wonderful.
