Terms/Rules for Commissions, Trades, Requests, and more

Here's all the terms and info regarding getting art from me in as many of the various ways I can think of. There'll be a little index if you want to know where in the journal certain sections are.

*All instances of "I" and "my" represent this account, the artist.
1. Commission Terms
"For $X, I will draw this thing for you."
- Payment via Paypal*.
- Payment must be made within 48 hours of commissioning**, in which I (the artist) will start officially working on the commission. If there's no payment, the commission will be considered cancelled.
- I will send work in progress (WIP) shot when everything requested is sketched out in rough, in which the commissioner may:
-- Request changes if they're unsatisfied. In this case, you will receive a new WIP with the changes.
-- Decide to go through with the commission. In this case, you acknowledge you cannot be refunded beyond this point.
-- Decide to cancel the commission. In this case, you will be refunded in full, and the art will not be finished.
- It is the commissioners responsibility to provide any and all necessary reference materials, including, but not limited to photo, drawn, and written descriptions.
- It is the commissioners responsibility to request a deadline. If no deadline is requested before work starts, the commission will be done at my (the artists) leisure.
- I (the artist) reserve the right to decline any commission I see fit, without having to give reason.
- By commissioning, you acknowledge you have read and accept these terms.
- By commissioning NSFW art, you acknowledge you are over 18 years old, and I (the artist) am not responsible for any problems that may arise otherwise.
*I (the artist) do not accept e-transfer, or any website specific currency (DeviantArt points, FurAffinity shinies, Facebook bucks, etc) or prepaid giftcards (Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, etc).
**I (the artist) can be flexible on the payment time, but it must be discussed beforehand first.
Things I'm okay with drawing
- Human/Furry/Scalie/monster characters
- OC's & Fan-art (ships included)
- Machines, vehicles, and weapons
- SFW & NSFW/lewds*
Things I REFUSE to draw (and WILL get you blocked)
- Scat/Urine
- Pedophillia/Incest
- Excessive Violence/Abuse/Rape
*With the exception of some obscure kinks. Ask first if the kink you want drawn is okay first.
2. Trade Terms
"I draw something for you, in return for art from you."
- Trade requests may be made by anyone, however I may decline for any reason including, but not limited to:
-- Skill level
-- Art style
-- Life events
-- Or even no reason at all
- If a trade is stopped while I have a sketch WIP done or further, the other person in the cancelled trade may NOT post the WIP or use the WIP in other projects.
- It's up to each person in the trade to give any necessary reference materials, including, but not limited to drawn, written, etc.
- If no deadline is set before work starts, my end of the trade will be done at my leisure.
- If you ask for NSFW art, it will be assumed you are 18+ years of age.
3. Collaboration Terms
"I do these parts, you do these parts."
- Collab requests may be made by anyone, however I may decline for any reason including, but not limited to:
-- Skill level
-- Art style
-- Life events
-- Or even no reason at all
- It is up to the corresponding person or people in the collab to provide any necessary reference materials, including, but not limited to drawn, written, etc.
- A deadline is preferred if there's three (3) or more people included.
- If the subject matter is NSFW, it will be assumed everyone participating is 18+ years of age.
4. Adopts
"For $X, you can own this character design I drew."
- Payment via paypal only.
- When you purchase an adopt, you buy the rights to use the character however you see fit.
- When purchasing an adopt with an extra, you only get that tier + the base adopt image. Example below
"$35 - Unmarked image + alt
$50 - Includes icon
$65 - Includes chibi"
In this case, buying the $65 tier gets you the base adopt (the $35 tier) and the chibi art. The icon would need to be a separate commission.
- The additional "$5 for NSFW alt" applies to each tier except refs.
- The owner of an adopt may request changes to the base image, and/or may make the changes themselves.
- If anything bought of the adopt is NSFW, it is assumed the buyer is 18+ years of age.
5. Gifts
"Here, a surprise for you!"
- Gift art by me is for friends only.
- The only exception is if art via commission or trade is intended as a gift for a friend.
(In short, I draw gift art for friends & the occasional person I follow)
6. Requests
"Drawing your thing for free."
- No.
- I do not "take" requests seriously.
- I save legit requests for my close friends and family (for example, my girlfriend, my brother, my best friend from high school)
- If I say anything akin to "yes" or "sure" to your request in any serious manner, it will be added to a list that I'll pull from for ideas. That does not mean I will work on it like a commission, it means I like your idea, I'd like to draw it, but will draw it when I feel like it.
- If you want your thing drawn by me for 100% certain, the way you'd like, any option above from 1-4 will always be guaranteed.
- But if you just note me asking "Can you draw X for me?" I will reply "I don't do requests, but commissions are open".
7. Reposting art by me
"Can I post this to my page?"
- If you commissioned art, or got art from me via a trade, collab, gift, etc, the art you get is what you may post wherever you like, with a link back to my page(s).
- Only the person the art is intended for may repost, unless the art is being gifted, in which the person receiving may also repost.
- Personal art I've drawn for fun on my own time may not be reposted at all.
- Adopt bases and extras may be reposted, but must credit me for the design on those posts. If you or another artist makes a new reference or other art, credit is not needed.
- Collabs are a case by case, depending what everyone agrees on.
