cartoon ideas: Beast Wars

So remember back when I did a couple of journals talking about how I'd do a transformers story? Fuck it! I'm adding a Beast Wars to that now!
The setting
So this re-telling of Beast Wars would be different not just with character choices, but also time and place. Instead of prehistoric earth, everybody crashes during like...the 1980s. The Autobots and Decepticons are still asleep of course so Megatron still has a chance to rewrite history. Also he has a chance to fuck up first contact with Alpha Trion (Go check out parts one and two of my transformers journals for more on that). Also considering Maximals and Predacons are around human-ish size? This setting is a good opportunity for some shenanigans.
For the teams I'm only going to list off "new" or "alternate interpretations" of characters since I want everyone to kind of be close to their original portrayal in the OG Beast Wars.
MAXIMALS
-Airrazor (This is kind of cheating since Airrazor is unchanged personality wise, but she replaces Rhinox as one of the original crew. Which is probably a good thing since we need more girls)
-Leo Prime (Yeah I'm bringing him into this. Acting like Primal's Sentinel prime/Ultra Magnus being a higher ranking officer or whatever He drops by every now and again to reprimand Primal for the escalating situation on earth before they put it aside to beat up the preds.)
-Polar Claw (One of Leo's team. His more anal-retentive rules lawyering assistant if you will)
-Stampy (Also part of Leo's team, and is a girl. Is that misogynistic? I hope not because rabbits are cool)
-Darkscream/Nightglider (A transplant from Car Robots kind of and one of Megatron's early experiments with transmetal 2 technology. He can defect to the maximals after his initial debut and learn how to be heroic from Silverbolt)
PREDACONS
-Terrorsaur (Since I'd be using Tarantulas to lead the insecticons in my G1 rewrite, Terrorsaur gets more moments for starscreaming! Yay!)
-Slapper (A transplant from Car Robots. Slapper would replace Waspinator as the butt monkey of the predacons even after he gets his transmetal 2 form)
-Terragator (As much as I love Quickstrike, I think it'd be neat to use a different pred as their main fuzor. Aside from comments about how disgusting he is from other characters, I'd want Terragator to have a quirky voice akin to Muscleman from Regular Show but he'd parse every other sentence with a hard "UHHHH..." and also constantly make references to his ASS CANNON
I might add more if I get any ideas. Feedback and comments are always appreciated.
