I'm sadly familiar with the first one, he was cynical of the world when he made and was working on Rocko... hence why the resident nice guy Rocko, kept getting screwed over by the local surrounding jerks as the recurring theme.

Though I heard by the time of Lazlo, he was making a cartoon his kid(s) would like... the divorce part is news to me.

Seems whenever Murray has a chance to work on a cartoon for a big network, his love life tends to take a fatal hit :/

Maybe the fact that cartoon with Rocko has so much adult content which is hidden more or less, could be an actual reflection of what was happening in Joe's private life then. I think it's hard if not impossible to make a cartoon which is really for kids when you're dealing with such a mess like a death of person you love for example. :(

Well, I guess now your childhood is kinda destroyed also when it comes to Camp Lazlo. :-/
