I wish I had more time...

I am bear.
Dear Furiends,
I've been feeling a bit guilty lately for not chatting more with you. There are a number of friends out there who have made efforts to communicate with me, and I have had to put them off somewhat. I don't excuse myself for this, but I do have an explanation. I have been overwhelmed with a lot of things going on in my life. These include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) if any of you reading this is a caretaker, you know that taking care of a disabled person can be a lot of work. My husband, Michael, is a 100% disabled Vietnam Vet. He is slowly getting less able to take care of himself, and I spend a lot of my time just helping him. 2) My sister's wife divorced her (because my former sister-in-law is a selfish bitch, is all I will say) and my sister has had to move in with us. 3) I am still remodeling my house. 4) I am still working full time as a managing editor. 5) I am still writing my Ask Papabear column. 6) I am running the Good Furry Award. 7) I am still, very slowly, working on my furry book and trying to set up my own publishing company. 8) I also regularly take my disabled friend Frank to doctors and dentists and help him around his house. 9) And just all the quotidian household duties of cooking, cleaning, shopping, taking care of my doggie, etc. etc.
I don't write to ask for your sympathy, but just to explain myself. To those of you who have extended a paw, given me a phone call, or even sent me postcards and such, I want you to know I DO appreciate your thoughtfulness. I wish I had time to be a better friend.
Love you guys,
Grubbs Grizzly

I would make a tiny suggestion that you join an online caregiver's group for your specific issue. I did that and it's been very helpful in pointing out resources that I missed.
I like the Facebook groups because they're generally closed to members only and so there's less hassle from spammers and more privacy to vent. Sometimes you just need to rant to people who know you're just letting off steam.
I briefly joined "caregivers of adult parents" for my mother-in-law's care. Helped a ton with hospice and so forth.
