Man it's crazy how we've been on a massive shortage due to both the pandemic and scalpers. There's like very little places you can get cards reliably.
Luckily I'm near by a vending machine, so I can get cards there... whenever it's full and functioning.
I recently got one of those $15 shining fates boxes that comes with an enamel pin and uh... I got a full art shiny gigantamax charizard which is apparently a high value card. I'm tempted to make a shiny gigantamax charizard TF YCH just because I love this card so much X'D
But that does lead me to a question for a quirky commission type? I don't normally have the funds to get pokemon cards, but I do really want to expand my collection and I typically have good luck with getting good pulls.
So basically the idea is this: You can fund me to go get pokemon cards (like 1 booster pack, a box, etc) and I'll go buy them, open them, and show you what I got. You then can choose one of the pokemon from the cards I got to have me draw your character tfing into that pokemon. The TF 'trigger' can even be the card in the picture. Booster packs are typically $4.19 where I'm at. If you order below $20, you'd get a sketch of your character TFing (which you can later upgrade if you wanted so in the long run it's a pretty good deal). $50 or more you'd get a basic shaded comic page of your character TFing. $20-$40 you'd get a Lined Flat color. If I get a high value card, then you'll get an auto-upgrade to a comic page (Or an extra page if you've already paid $50+). You don't actually get the cards themselves- Unless I get a duplicate that you'd want and you're in the US, then I could look into mailing it to you? You'd just have to let me know beforehand if you want me to mention any duplicates. After the commission is done, you can tip if you'd like as well. Another option of this commission type is that you could just throw money at me and have it be a "free-for-all" where I just make ych comic auctions of certain pokemon I like from what I get and anyone can bid on it.
Idk if anyone would be interested in that, it was just a commission type I was thinking of but -shrug-. Also if I were to make it a commission type, I'd have to limit it to 3 Slots and 1 order per person. Just because it's more for funding my pokemon card collection and it's difficult to get pokemon cards right now X'D. But yeah comment below if any of you guys like the idea or have any suggestions.

I'm aiming to complete a couple of the SWSH sets myself (Mostly Rebel Clash for the Luxray family cards XD) mostly cause they are cool but cards have disappeared from Canadian Shelves -.-
I'm behind on all sets because it was only recently I realized that since I'm an adult... -gasp- I can collect the cards! So I try to collect them whenever I have cash to spare which is rare in itself X'D People are disappointed about the Pokemon Ball Tins since they pack old sets in them, but they're great for me as I need to collect them XDD
Once those are done though, I might start on even older sets XD
I did see some Darkness Ablaze in the vending machine last time I went though and got one of those.
I have no idea if I'll ever sell my valuable cards because I'm also just collecting them as a keepsake, but definitely I'll sell any valuable cards that I get duplicates of.
