That's a good point. Tarzan wasn't created for our current society. The comic strip was only a reprint running in very few papers. The few papers that were running it are probably also in danger of going under.

Yeah. Comic strips have died in the newspapers. They've been reduced to having no content at all. The great comics couldn't have been produced with the rules of today. Can you imagine a syndicate today accepting Popeye, Tarzan, Steve Canyon, Pogo, Dick Tracy etc. ?

. I think all the old strips would be seen as far too interesting to be safe. I found working for the big corporations in the early 1990's to be impossible. PC stuff had already taken over. I can't imagine writing comedy for today's audience. Anything interesting is suspect.
