IT'S MAH CAKE DAY!!!!!

Yes my special day. 2020 was really dishing it out with COVID. Because I worked in a municipal garage, we were designated first responders and had to work. No big since I had a large corner to myself and the closest 'neighbor' was at least 25 yds so yeah...social distancing. For the rest of the year pretty non eventful. At the end I decided to be a dart board and get the flu and shingles vax. Mid march we were given a chance to get the first of the Pfizer shots and I jumped on it. Got the second April 1st and I was done getting stabbed. Later found out 2 opted not to get vaxed and one damn near paid the price. In spite the odds and the bug, I've survived another trip around the sun.

Me: I work a night shift. Which pretty much meant my job went from having to deal with idiots face to face for eight hours, to spending most of the night rubbing everything down with sanitizer with only the occasional break to yell at people that there is nothing outside which may be repurposed into a urinal.

Me: Redeemed my paid vacation time so I could attend a vaccine drive in April, where I got the J&J one-shot.

Me: Came back and found out one of my co-workers had tested positive. And we were already short-handed, which meant I had to work twenty-one days straight. He's okay, BTW, but if it were literally possible to give someone a death glare, he would have died three times when he showed up maskless on his first day back.

Good on you getting the Shingles vax, I had that done 2 years ago and didn't regret it. In also suggest you get the Pneumonia shot as a play it safe vax. You aren't exactly a young boomer no more and trust me, pneumonia SUCKS utter ass.
