i use to not celebrate any holidays now i do i find them interesting and fun you should give it a try at least but thats up to you.

I've had that similar problem when it comes to Halloween and Gangs.

In Mexico There's a Halloween in the Beginning of November for dead children and dead adults. We celebrate their souls coming back to our world from Heaven. On the first day of November, we celebrate the children who've died. and then on the next day, we celebrate the adults. I like their candies, even though it's for the departed.

Think of Halloween as a celebration than something to worry about. :)

Ah, you're confusing Halloween with Mischief Night (as it's called around where I live... dunno about elsewhere). Halloween itself isn't about making messes and breaking stuff. Actually I'm pretty unsure about the origin of the holiday itself, but it's fun to dress up and go to parties and such :3

We call it Devil's Night here in Michigan...

...and Devil's Nigh it certainly is, especially if you're around Grand Rapids or Detroit. That's a night FAR scarier than the holiday as a whole...

Usually Devil's Night is a day before Halloween, I think. Whenever it is, it certainly gets the neighbors rattled.

I'm glad I'm no longer in either place. The few days leading up to Halloween are NOT good days to be planing activities in the downtown areas. Even further out it gets a little rowdy.

Halloween started as a pagan holiday. they believed that it was the time that the spirit world and ours were closest, the celebration itself i have no idea, but jackolanterns had something to do with some guy carving a turnip into a lantern.

I stopped celebrating things a long time ago when I started going to college and working, birthdays included.

Around here, this time of the year isnt like what it use to be. Years ago there were alot more people out trick'or'treating, alot more people with stuff in their yards and alot more people playing tricks as you came up to their house with treats involved. Now, its just lame, hardly anybody does it. More people drive their kids to the houses instead of walk and there's a cerfue on it.

Main thing I dont like about it now is that I get off of work around when it starts so I have a hard time getting through the streets to my house. Seems like the main road to my neighborhood is the place to be, but once you get to the back of this place, there's nobody.

I celebrate it, but I don't go all out. i like to see people in creepy costumes and such, it amuses me.

Well when i was younger, it use to be lots of fun but now a days most folks go out of town for Halloween to the big events like at Knott's Berry Farm or the big party near L.A. or Hollywood. You can have a party and have fun while watching horror movies. (^_^)

all you really do for halloween is walk around as some scary creature or whatever, have an empty bag with you and go to peoples houses and nicely say trick or treat, they'll give you the candy, you say thank you, then you go to the next house. it's pretty freaking awesome even though it can take awhile for candy to accumulate. There usually isn't much bad happening mischief wise anyways, you should try it, i mean who can resist free candy.

Well, Halloween certainly disappeared from Croatia. That's probably because of our nervous elders who just shoo the kids away from their houses. But the old days... I remember as a kid when I used to go trick or treat, and everybody used to comment like "Ooooh, you're one scary mummy, aren't ya?"(yeah, I used to dress up cheap, :p) or people at least pretended to be scared. If not candy, they gave some small amount of money. But today... Well, it's mostly like "GTFO MY PROPERTY!"

It depends, if you're with a large group then Halloween's okay, bit if you're kinda on your own or with one or two friends, I'd not even leave the house. Even in small towns, guys and gals just go out and do completely stupid stuff, and unless you've got strength of numbers, I'd not even venture outside. Everyone nowadays seems to really want to make Halloween look even worse, considering it already has some bad press. Its like they want to somehow physically prove it makes you like, somehow possessed by evil spirits that make you retarded. I don't really plan anything special this Halloween, but I wish some friends and I could just gather round and have a movie night.

i dunno, i really just go to a friends and talk for the whole night about..stuff...and..things

well,you can stay at home, or try to spook the kids in a teasing way :P here in the netherlands it's only celebrated by horror movies on TV (too bad they use the same movie each year, so with friends i usually go to see a new one), and some restaurants celebrate it as well, besides that only people who are bored/feeling creative make jack o' lanterns, but that's about it.. i hope you enjoy halloween
