I hyped myself up for this movie. I read everyone's opinions and reviews on the movie, and just about everybody loved it. They said it was the scariest damn thing they had ever seen. So naturally, I had to go see it. I'm always interested in seeing a really scary movie.
Sigh... Not as scary as I had hoped. I mean, it had its moments, but it didn't get there until around Night #17. Everything else was just kind of a build-up to the slamming doors and (SPOILER) girl getting dragged out of her bed by her foot. THAT fucking scared the shit out of me. But other than that, I really wanted more. Someone said that during screenings of the movie, people were literally shaking as they exited the theatre. I wanted to do that. I wanted to be shaking. I wanted to be scared of the dark again. It didn't happen. I saw it just the other day, and that night I was fine with walking around during night in my house with no lights on.
It was a good movie, it just had a slow build-up. The plot was good, the characters were believable (great acting), the effects were creepy... I just wasn't as stunned as I thought I'd be. I can't tell which scared me more: Quaratine or Paranormal Activity. But it was definately worth the money.

you know you could always go back an play Fatal frame 2 if you wanna be afraid of the dark again XDDD
i actually found a copy at a nearby Gamestop, once i get some spending money i'm going out an buying that bitch! it's been a long while since i've seen any sight of it in any existing Gamestop. i spotted it when i went for the release party of Halo 3: ODST the moment i saw it i walked over an was star struck, lol.
btw you finished FF3 yet? the ending was pretty good but it made me a little sad ;n;
i noticed that there's a FF4 out but i think it's only for Wii or something O_o
anyway i'll have to look into this movie you speak of because if there's something that scares you, even slightly then it's probably going to terrify me XD
I always go to the movies expecting low results, that way it's not as bad when it's not to the hype or glory of others. Especially stuff that is supposed to be scary.
