This always happens with artists I love ;-;
You get so popular so fast it becomes impossible to get art from. I literally just went to the bathroom, refreshed the page and the journal appeared and was already closed.

One of the reasons this was such a instantaneous slot filling (giggidy) is that you gave people an exact time of when you were opening. People can set an alarm and just spam refresh 30 minutes before you open to guarantee chance. (this is fine given the circumstances)

You could always just randomly open without warning and it might not be so instant and the people would be more random as it would be more people who just happen to open and check FA at the right time.

With my job, as it is, basically the "Google forms and the artist chooses who to take" is my only real option when it comes to commissions. Which is fine and I'm not complaining as it is what it is.

hmm yeah i've seen some artists use that,, tho unfortunately I'm too much of a pushover to feel ok just like,, ignoring ppl's requests for comms :,D

Well consider this, you get the option of picking commissions you find interesting AND you can also then follow your guidelines of placing people on "cooldown". Also gives you more variety to choose a new character to draw.

Keep in mind, I'm not trying to change your mind on how you do commissions. Only giving you things to think about. <3

idk I might do selective comms occasionally at some point just cuz i know a few of my friends want one and I'm still not 100% ready to stick to a strict schedule^^
