Nintendo Won E3!!!
I gotta say... This E3 was difficult to get through. Ubisoft, Square and Capcom really made people worry. Now to be fair we did have the pandemic last year, so it makes sense why E3 would be very weak, but still... it was not fun to watch. Microsoft did well, but to me Nintendo REALLY went out there! Mario Party I pre-ordered! I even cancelled my pre-order for Doki Doki Literature Club + as I didn't have enough funds for it. I couldn't get New Super Lucky's Tale or BotW DLC either as they are currently on sale, but I made the sacrifice because I literally am lol on multiplayer games! I only have Animal Crossing and 3DWBF for multiplayer. I haven't been into Mario Party in a long time either. So this gave me that love again!
Metroid Dread was also a huge surprise! That was a cancelled DS Metroid game, so to see it in light again w/amiibo is great! A perfect day for Metroid fans as we all wait for Metroid Prime 4. And Dread looks SO good as the next 5th installment to the 2D Metroid games!
WarioWare too got a game surprisingly and to have it where you play each game with their own abilities is great!
BotW2 got revealed and THAT looked great! I even like the G&W Zelda 30th anniversary collectable. It's not a grand way to celebrate Zelda's 35th, but it's still nice! Even nice it includes the original Link's Awakening! Though funny it's not gonna make use of the GameBoy Printer, but still BETTER than Dampe and his stupid dungeon maker!
So yeah, I loved the direct! About Mario Party Superstar, I hope it gets DLC for more characters and boards. I love Dry Bones back. Maybe shrink Plessie so he can join too? NINTENDO PLEASE!!!
Anyway what did you guys think of the direct?

FA+

Kazuya joining Smash, which mean Heihatchi will be a spirit possibly Legendary.
Advance Wars returning.
The first two Zelda titles and Link's Awakening coming to a Game & Watch.
Plus Breath of the Wild 2.
Advance Wars is nice to see comeback.
Zelda I am glad for too overall!
Metroid game looks great. Thinking about getting that one too but games where something I can't kill is constantly chasing me give me a lot of anxiety, so I'm unsure. :OP
I've never owned any of the Wario Ware games myself, but I've played them before. I'll probably pass on it but always good to see a new one.
Personally didn't care for the new Smash character, but I barely touch Smash anymore so I guess it doesn't matter. I think it was ok, but there just wasn't anything that really got me crazy excited. The top four things I hoped to see were Mario Kart 9 (or big DLC for Deluxe), Mario Odyssey 2, N64/Gamecube games for NSO or a big Animal Crossing update. Struck out on all of those sadly, but maybe another time. Nintendo did say they had more stuff in the works that they couldn't show yet.
Heh, it’s alright. Anxiety games is something I love. I loved games like Majora’s Mask and the isolation of Metroid Prime I loved. To see a new Metroid going even darker is great! This is something I like for the holidays. I haven’t touched a Metroid game in a long time. Perfect that it’s coming out in October too.
WarioWare was surprising since after Gold, it was thought we never see another Wario game again. But Nintendo did and the concept is great!
Not sure if I’ll get it but it’s in my eShop wishlist just in case.
I cared little for Kayuza as well, but it’s nice to see a Tekken rep and Capcom now has 4 reps now I believe.
I was hoping for a new Mario Kart, New Mario(or DLC for SM3DWBF), more Nintendo Online and Animal Crossing but I didn’t mind they didn’t get shown. Nintendo did well and I know they got more coming eventually.
I hope we get to see more of what Nintendo has to offer sometime in the next few months. I think it was a nice Direct but there just wasn't much in it for me, personally. So I'm left wanting more. Especially since the Pokemon remakes aren't really doing it for me, the Mario Kart 9 rumor seems to have not been true and ACNH updates seem dead so I don't have a lot to look forward to.
There’s word that Nintendo couldn’t show everything they wanted.
Pokémon Arceus is still something very new they didn’t talk much on. Pokémon & GameFreak can have a direct all for that.
Idk about rumors but seeing how there hasn’t been much major news with Mario Kart in a long time, I feel we got something coming.
For ACNH, AC fans are getting... entitled about not seeing it which is really immature. They seem to have gave too much expectations. I’m fine with AC not getting updates since Nintendo seemed to have shown other great announcements and was good variety. Perhaps September we hear big news from Nintendo for more games.
For Animal Crossing... I guess we just wait until the end of June. Animal Crossing news always comes at the end of the month and we have no idea what’s in store for the up coming months.
They did say in the Direct that they were working on more games that they aren't able to show yet, so that's exciting.
I am expecting a Pokemon Direct. I kind of figured nothing Pokemon would be in the E3 presentation. Same with AC really. As much as I really wanted it there, I figured that an update to the game, no matter how big, probably isn't really something Nintendo would want to show off in the big E3 Direct unless it was part of some Zelda Anniversary tie-in like the Mario update. I dunno, I think many AC fans are just really craving some actual new content and not just a small update that adds in maybe 5 new seasonal items. For me personally, I really want a big item update and a minigames update so that I have something to do with friends in the game. Or co-op terraforming/decorating but pretty sure Nintendo would never do that.
I love to see Blathers. I suppose for me personally it's giving me a reason to NOT play Animal Crossing lol. I got Garage, I recently got back into BotW weeks ago along with Bowser's Fury. I got art to work and I still didn't finish Yooka-Kaylee:The Impossible Lair. I think now is a good time for me to give AC a break or play very little.
Garage is fun but boi is it very complex! WarioWare DIY is way more simpler than garage! The games people will make though... I watched Dashie play it and someone made P.T. and Mario Kart.
Ryukahr and Gamexplain (controversial, I know) showed off some really good Game Garage games too. I wish I had the skills. Would be fun to make a Yoshi game. And then make a variant of it using my OCs because I'm a terrible person like that. :OP
I’m gonna try making a Plessie game. Certain parts are very confusing but game development is no easy task, heh.
I do wanna make some games involving my fav kinks too, lol. But I’m more on really trying to work out matching how Plessie works in BF.
Also about Mario Party Superstars, they also added features from recent Mario Party games like special dice.
Though the boards are 64 only, they brought games from GCN too. So it could be possible for what kind of DLC to get if Nintendo goes with it.
The Metroid and Zelda trailers both looked very exciting so far and seem to bring both a very dramatic-fantastic type of experience like their franchise fans enjoy from them.
Fatal Frame and Advance Wars coming back with a re-release and reboot also are also another pair of games to solidify the lineup.
Casual players got a bunch of neat titles here from Wario Ware to Mario Party, you can have a good new portion of Minigames and wacky board game actions. Speaking of Mario Party, that Peach's Cake map from the first Mario Party looked nicely in it's redone version there. Pretty.
Mario + Rabbids are games that definitely look fun in terms of how Mario lore is used and combined with the Grant Kirkhope OST it looks always rather enjoyable, I am just hesistant regarding the tactical RPG gameplay because I usually feel like that's not my strong side. But cool it got a sequel.
Monster Hunter Stories did in the same manner interest me but I couldn't get really warm with the normal Monster Hunter games. Gotta look more into the gameplay and whatnot and maybe I check it out yet.
Kazuya seems like a nice fit for the Smash roster even if not likely the one that people will hyype up) and as somebody generally interested in video game cha(racters I of course knew about the thing with those Tekken characters where somebody gets thrown down a cliff and whatnot. Cracked me a bit up when I saw it. XD
