[POLL] Should I specify/retcon Sugar's species?

I've always keep Sugar's actual species an unknown because she doesn't quite look like any particular animal. But recently I saw this little fella over here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/flori.....pfe/1577506262
Bit of a resemblance, eh? It even has its ears pulled to the side.
So my question is this: should I keep Sugar as is or retcon her to be a fennec proper? I won't/can't do anything about her current refs, but in time I'll either get new ones made or, should I get my act together and learn how to draw, adjust her ears and horns so they actually work, as will as possible changes to her facial structure.
Or I could just keep her an unknown, not quite one animal and not quite another.
