I can't sleep at all!
I took my car to the mechanic 2 days ago to get the oil changed and with all the free stuff that went along with it. I had a damaged door handle on my driver's side of my car, but I can still open it fairly easily. The handle was missing to pull on, but I can still manage to wedge my fingers at the back end and pull to open.
As I left the car in their care with my handle in the condition that I can open it with, I was set at ease knowing that I'll get my car's oil changed and get an inspection done for free.
About 1 and a half hours later, they called me to tell me my car is ready to be picked up. As I paid for the expense and checked out all what was needed to be replaced (The suspension was shot and needed to be replaced) I merrily walked over to my car to find it unlocked (yay! no need to use the keys!). I tried to pull on the door handle to find that it was stuck and I was like, "wtf?". I crouched down to find that the door handle was broken to the point that it cannot be opened by normal means. It was split in two pieces with a hole that I have never seen before.
As I confronted the mechanic about it, he said, "We received it like that". I was shocked to hear it coming from the mechanic because I, myself, saw him get into the car as easily as I did and drove into the garage. I told him, "That's bullshit! I gave you guys the car PERSONALLY! How in God's name did it happen under your care? I know I didn't do this myself! I can in through the driver's side when I was coming over here!". He then told me, "Where's your proof? Do you have proof? It's your word against mines".
I was SO frustrated that as I tried to pull on the driver's side door handle, I forgot it was broken. I looked over to the mechanic and saw him grinning at me...
I was VERY upset at that point...
So I notified the manager about it, but apparently she believes the mechanic's word than the customer's. She also said she documented it, but I never saw anything on the paper she shown to me about the driver's door handle not functioning. I asked her if she saw him get into the vehicle the first time, she said no. Then I asked her, "How do you know that he didn't break it then and lied about it when it got into the shop?", but she flat out told me she was inspecting it throughout the time it was in the shop.
I couldn't take anymore of their lies...
So I called the Headquarters and notified them of this rediculous shit they are doing. The guy himself said he would be pissed off too, but due to a serious accusation, he can only write it down as both the mechanic and manager as "rude".
I thought, 'well... at least they are getting a bad review, right?'

But as it turns out, I can't can't get that stupid mechanic's grin out of my mind... he mocks me... and he knows he broke it and the manager is covering their asses...

I'll put in a hidden camera next time and if they did anything and lied about it, I'll sue them for every penny they got. But from now on, I will no longer be a Goodyear customer ever again.
