I Want Your Input
Before I leave for South Carolina, I wanted to ask everyone a question. Before Draconis passed away, we were actually working on something. I'm in tears right now typing this, but anyway... I have been teaching myself Adobe After Effects. I had drawn Draconis' character, Calamity Cougar, in Photoshop, and had made it so that it could be rigged for animation. I had done about 80% of the art for it. I have the full side view and most of the full front view. I was also working on a 3/4 view. Draconis and I had been working on scripts and were going to do a You Tube channel. We had kicked around some names for it and everything. I was wondering if you would think it in poor taste to continue on with the project? It would take me quite a while to get anything out, because I'm still pretty green with that program and of course he isn't here to help, but I could muddle my way through. Even though we shared a house, his memory belongs to the Fandom and not just to me. Should I bring Calamity back to life or should I leave his memory alone? Please make a post let me know. When I get back online in a few days, I'll read them all.

It should be completed as a tribute to him.
But in his memory, I don't think it's in poor taste. It'd be a continuation of his memory, something to represent, and would be done with the love that you have. One of my dad's friends had always said that if someone is remembered, they are never truly gone, and that's a philosophy I've held to.
But I do not feel it should go beyond that one tribute video, to having a Youtube channel and making multiple videos.
Not having Draconis inputting his own script ideas and doing Calamity's voice would make any additional videos feel a bit shallow and I honestly believe that Draconis would want you to move on to doing your own projects. He will always be remembered, and would want you to focus on the fandom and not on him.
But yes... this sounds like a project he was truly interested in and a tribute should be completed.
Think of all the authors and actors who have passed away before finishing their final project, and how satisfying it always is to see what they were working on, completed via the help of others.
It would be disheartening for his final project to simply be abandoned, with nothing ever shown of it.
