That sounds pretty good, and it's pretty close to how I usually name creatures (grabbing from other languages). It doesn't really sound like a name a species would give itself, but I think I can work with it. And hey, thanks for the reply!

Thinking of going with "Pesol", plural "Pesolus", with "Pesling" being a common derogatory. "Solus" is the latin for "sole", which also happens to be very close to the words for "circle" and "sun", which are "circulus" and "solis" respectively. The singular sounds like "pestle", the plural sounds like "pestilence"... the more I think about it, the more perfectly it seems to describe this race. It loses some of the original silliness, but it can always be shortened to just "pes" (or "pest").

Or maybe Pesolus (s.) and Pesoli (pl.)? :D

Hmm... *FA needs better emoticons* 🤔... I'll have to see how it sounds in practice*! At first glance it seems too long, but then again, I could make "pesol" the shortened version, and "pesolus" as a singular has an interesting irony to it. It brings to mind ancient Greeks, for some reason, and the contrast there is pretty funny.

*By "practice", I mean I'm slowly working on a Rev 3 for both of my first two races. There were a few things I wanted to update with the footdots besides their name, but I also wanted to experiment with putting small pictures in the documents. I think it would help for visualizing what I'm writing, both for me and for anyone reading them.
