I think it's because Warhammer 40K is so ridiculous that almost anything sounds like it could logically fit into it. Also you're not you're pointing at Warhammer 40K and saying "you are dumb for liking this" like some other webcomic I've seen. I wont tell you which because I don't want to give the bigoted man who runs it any traffic. I really want to see more of what you come up with, Pokemon in the Warhammer Universe isn't really that far-fetched. That was not an intentional pun.

You should check out "What if the Emperor had a Text-to-Speech" device on youtube, which is a funny satire of 40k from someone who is a fan. The Emperor gets a text-to-speech device and starts trying to un-fuck the imperium after he hears what it has become, and subsequently shits out a few warp storms.

Well your pokémon designs are cool, putting them in 40k armor/setting only adds to that level of cool :D

At the end of the day both, Pokemon and WH40k are just fiction. So why should anyone with a fully developped brain get mad over your fanfics?

Steven Univers was one where fans really stepped over the line.

I never watched Steven Universe, so I can not really comment on that particular Fandom.

I know very little about the Warhammer 40K universe.
But I do know that everything in it looks/sounds like the cover of a Heavy Metal album.
So with how off the wall things get in there, I don't think people are going to be upset with seeing anthro Pokémon in a Warhammer 40K setting.
And if they bitch, obviously ignore them.

as for your question.
furries are and always be the center of internet cringe. It also does not help that 40k has a lot of Neckbeards and edge lords so seeing a pokemon that furry in this fandom only gives them an open opportunity to harass and make fun of for their own amusement. It is also due to the fact some feel that 40k is only meant for normal people not furry frecks.
