Somehow, Yoshielder has Returned.

...Hey.
Been a while, huh? Nearly seven months. And there's a lot of stuff I wanna write here, so much that I really don't know where to begin, so forgive me if my first journal in half a year is a bit scattershot.
I guess I'll start at the beginning?? For those who don't know, last January I took a hiatus from this account, in order to focus on my mental and physical health. I don't want to get into the details, but it had been... very rough. And funny enough, things got really bad not even a week after I announced my break. I believe that if I hadn't taken a break then, I would have been forced to within a few days. So I guess I was lucky that I took my leave willingly, huh.
But you know what I'm even more lucky for? You guys. From the beginning of my announcement, to just last week, and all the time in between, I have had nothing but well-wishes, kindness, and understanding from you all. From all of my commissioners being patient (one who's nearly been waiting a year!), to the kind comments on my last journal, to people reaching out via DMs, to the watchers I've somehow picked up during my break, who watched and faved despite me not posting in weeks, and then months. I know not every artist and writer is able to take a break, let alone one as long as I took, without there being even a little bit of pushback. You, however, have all been so kind to me this year... and so I might as well return the favour, eh?
So since I just posted a brand new TT character, you've probably guessed that me taking a break from writing was kind of a lie. In truth, I did write a fair bit during my break, but without any of the self-imposed pressure; merely because I enjoyed it. And I still enjoy it! I think now that I've sorted some things irl, and have been steadily writing more every day, that it's time to open up this account again. That means more stories and characters from me, and it also means commissions are open again!
I also have quite a few plans for this account. Like possibly getting into more traditional stories here, or revamping the game itself, or stuff that I don't wanna reveal just yet. That's for another time, though. For now, I hope you enjoy the new TT character, and many more in the future!
My question: How's your 2021 been so far? Had to be less chaotic than last year, right?

2021 has been an...interesting year. Definitely *less* bad than last year, for sure!
