I don’t know for sure but I think it’s because it encapsulates so many fetishes at once. Muscle worship, domination, friendly rivalry, leather, tight or exposing clothing, sweat, musk, sexual tension, taunting. Stuff like that.

For me, I love fighting because of two men slowly becoming exhausted as the fight goes on, covered in bruises that give them black eyes so bad they can't see, lose nearly all their teeth, start out clothed, but eventually get naked from their clothes being torn to shreds as the fight goes on, and getting absolutely ruined.

BTW as for why I got into fighting art, I was 13 when I watched Piccolo fight Frieza in DBZ, seeing saliva fly from Piccolo's mouth and tear his clothes to shreds got me so hard...It was my first time ever jerking off.

i wish i had the mental capacity to explain it. something about seeing anthropomorphic animals who presumably have dilligently exercised their bodies into powerful organic machines (or maybe just genetic engineering or less desirably drugs) choosing to test the limits of said machines against each other in combat at the risk of pain, humiliation, permanent damage, and even death, whether for honor or money or power or revenge or any kind of reason, it's just hot
