When it comes to games I love whole Monster Hunter menagerie
Well, first you can remember or still find that is.
My own is this one: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/3567876/ (SFW)
First anthro pic ever I saw was on elfwood and never downloaded it. I didn't like the concept of 2 legged animals... i remember it was fantasy scene of deer and wolf in prison
This is the 1st nsfw art I ever saw http://us-p.vclart.net/vcl/Artists/.....an/boysbed.jpg It was early 2004 and I realised, furry isn't about just holding hands...
I was never fully into anthro stuff, I am more into of humanoids living next to feral dragons and gryphons. I still am! I may call myself furry though because I interact in this community, go to conventions, sell prints, have many feral sapient characters
And yes, it is hard to put a line between popular media and furry artwork at times. Especially with feral dergs, gryphons and other mythical creatures.
I myself would more or less put the line where it isn't just a random creature, but rather someone's OC, or when the artwork is furry in and off itself, as often is the case with anthro artwork.
I myself have after all seen many pictures of dragons long before the one I linked, but that were the first one where I realized that, "ah, so this is not just a random dragon someone made for the picture, nor something from a movie, book, game or similar..." Before it I never really thought that there existed this whole community of people that draw various anthropomorphic creatures in various scenes, usually with a more personal flare.
What caused you to draw dragon - human couples?
Do you personally believe in dragons to be Real or just fantasy?
What caused my outing with it-I guess I was under huge stress in November 2019 and I started to draw sketches of this forbidden topic. I always liked it, collected art of it from E621. I was thinking people will kill me for drawing such stuff but thankfully only few reacted badly ^^;
I think dragons are just fantasy sadly but it's ok :3
If you had absolute creative freedom, and enough time and money, what would you like to draw/work on?
What are your favourite subject or themes to draw?
My fav subjects are: slice of life situations, epic landscapes :3
How are things lately <:?
Maybe even a scientific degree?
I studied Art history for 3 years in Gdańsk, and after finishing it I went to learn psychology in Stettin for 5 years
That's very cool.
I want to get psychology as a second higher education as well.
Our local therapy school requires having a degree in psycology or medicine to get psycotherapist serificate. So... I go for a bach degree in psycology and then for a therapist school.
And yes. it is expensive as hell. Gonna be like 4 times more money than my sociology education in BSU.
Buuuuuuut... mother can afford it (since she is a psycotherapist already and thus earns well) so why not?
I think Chupacabra sounds like something that could really exist
And the most important one: Dragons or gryphons?
Both! also fantasy birds
Some of my characters do like orgies but aren't into polygamy in their everyday life. For example, most of my dragons don't dance and when they think of parties, sex and orgy comes into their minds
I cannot influence your choice or the choice of characters, but still, I would be pleased to see their true relationship to each other. I think you understand.
Thanks for the answer!
They are with each other for sure in deep romantic relationship; but dragon nature is dragon nature and they _do_ like sex in my world. Sexual intercourse on such dragon parties is not romantic, just physical
Thank you!
I played lots of 2.5 D shooters like doom, doom 2, wolfenstein 3D. I loved TES games, The sims 1-4, Heroes of Might and magic 2 &3, I played Monster Hunter World lots 2 years ago
Bird of prey, Steller's Sea Eagle and Greenwing macaw
What do?
I see people didn't saw my twitter retcon post https://www.wykop.pl/cdn/c3201142/c.....btrCuCbP4c.jpg
There are backgrounds though I don't like and I feel complicated; These are sci-fi places. I'm not into this genera and I'd be very overhelmed thinking how to make this work if it was based on my own knowledge. I'm not a phycist so yeah ;/ I'd model stuff like it with reference only
I would say that I would have trouble with sci-fi as well, but backgrounds in general are one of my banes.
I decided to try it again because I had to create castle for one of my commissions this year so it began again... and honestly current blender is a bliss to use. I create models in it for like half a year now. There are many tutorials on yt, start with donut tutorial tho
Thank you for answering all these questions! ^^
I was like "yeah let's do it". I worked 2014-2016 and I decided that it's not my true calling so I switched to freelance furry art. and I love it
What makes me not give up are challenges. Things I want to learn keep me on going. I love trying out new things. The second thing are my characters
I liked Smaug from books xD
When I reached 30 I saw I rarely enjoy takeout ;/ It's gets heavy on my stomach... ;_;
Question, Whats your favorite and least favorite part of drawing?
My least fav part is linearting. I just sketch things out
Another question if its ok.
Are there any things you don´t really enjoy to draw, I mean maybe something like feathers, fur, scales, fluids, metal stuff etc.
And on the other hand what are the things you like most? ^^
I like drawing anything honestly, I can't say it's only one thing. One is sure though, I hate boredom
I would like to know why, if possible...
My fav Monster Hunter beasts are Velkhana and Mizutsune
I wonder how this looked with the original blender models haha :P
•Whom would you commission art from if availablity & price wasn't an issue at all?
•And do you read books at all? :>
I think all my cool friends i have around!
I do, but I recently switched to audiobooks. I love slice of life/horror/lgbtq books most. I dislike fantasy in books
—gosh that right! (sweet of you also!)
—And surprising considering a bunch of the subject matter in recent art of yours! (that include scifi, or just classic fantasy?)
also hek yeeeahp how GOOD are E-book readers! the future is now
Uther's look is based on my lovely husband minus the hair.
(No proof they didn't)
Anyway, my question is what is your honest opinion of furry dragon's?
You see for some reason I cannot get a Link to my picture to come up for reference so I will describe instead.
My OC is a Ferial Dragon who instead of being Scale covered, I'm Fur covered withe Feathered wings instead of the common Membrane type.
What is your opinion of such an OC or the concept of such?
Have you ever done (or would ever like to do) covers for novels?
I love the way you exquisitely interpret your inspirations!
...and this masterpiece is the one!....>>>> https://www.furaffinity.net/view/40643405/ woooot!
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
Memory 32 GB
2 Terabytes of Disk
Micro-star International Motherboard
Eizo Monitors
Intuos pro 5 a4
I suck at hardware seriously
this is probably asked way too often to big artists, and I don't mean for it to be a loaded question, but what is your #1 piece of advice you'd give to new and starting artists that might be doubting themselves?
I wasn't art prodigy, i just wanted to draw and get better.
My second important advice is to learn art fundamentals
... How about approximate age? (ie 20s, 30s, etc.)
... I feel like I should guess wrong though so you give me the actual answer. XD
When are you going to make some Monster Hunter art? In particular, of Mizutsune.:PActual question:
What was the most challenging piece you did and why? (for example, because of the complexity of the piece, or a new method/style you tried, etc)
my most complex piece is this, I learned a lot new stuff from blender https://www.furaffinity.net/view/41710069/
I really like the combination of 3D and painting, you can get the best of both worlds: the accuracy/perspective/on model of 3D, and then you improve it with your painting skills, adding details/effects. It's something I wish I could see more often.
I got lucky and some of my renders have stuff painted over them by a very generous anonymous artist. Too bad I could never do something like that by my own.
I've seen it happening to other OCs but how about yours?
Would that be something you ever consider?
I'm not spoiling anything, it's hard xD
I love mantises, grasshoppers, crickets, beetles, especially fast running beetles, moths, butterflies. I am currently obsessed with junebugs and x-brood ciccadas but fav insect changes often
Personally i like the one about D&D dragons and bards.
