Yello - Some basic ideas ,thoughts and worldbuilding
4 years ago
The idea is that Yello is acually a chimp/human hybrid. (We are actually genetically very close). A few generations ago they created these hybrids artificially, becaue they are more resilient on off-world colonies with adverse environments. (They are simply tougher than normal humans). Yello was born naturally though, she had parents. The subsequent generations of hybrids reproduced naturally again, thats the "nature finds a way"-moment here.
There is still the genetically based inability to interbreed with normal humans, probably a designed feature to avoid creating weird or disabled mutants etc. For me personally its mainly a nice and cheap excuse for Yello getting continuously filled with some guys semen without getting pregnant all the time. Her pronounced boobs are a result of the mixture of primate and human features. Chimp (and most primate) females normally don't have this amount of cleavage, but her part human heritage shines through here. Decidedly chimp-like is her musculature, which needs very little training to become noticeably defined and athletic looking. For some reason her cleavage still remains mostly the same, lucky girl. The pregnancy thing is still interesting (as discussed in an earlier journal) , but if I do it its probably just going to be an "alternate universe" kind of thing. Its kind of iffy, because what happens to eventual kids etc. (for a scifi porn "universe" not really appropriate etc.)

Humans themselves though are remarkably resilient compared to most other species on earth. Theres an entire reddit series that basically outlines their uniquenesses compared to other animals who would fall prey to things as simple as a sprain.
I'm not trying to knock or shit on your idea of course. It's a simple, straightforward, easily explained narrative without people having to start to question a lot of things.
Though what I do, especially in things like D&D stories, I'll take one good idea, and require myself to come up with at least 2 alternatives that are equally as compelling. Often times I discover a more complex narrative thats less on the nose and more off the wall that my players just find has more "meat" on it.
So keep it up! I love your art and building a universe around all the strange and unique things you've made sounds facinating!
I thought about this myself last night after crashing out for bed and thought "What if it's one of those voluntary enhancement projects?" LIke where Yello works, the planet has a high soy diet, not a lot of protein or whatever, and they need laborers, so she signed up for the "Species Reassignment" against her parent's wishes (because it causes you to be incompatible with humans for breeding) and boom. Became the chimp we all know and love/lust. So she can eat a protein-deficient diet and stay ripped while doing physical labor.
On the flip side of that, you could have like, remote satellite programmers who are lizards that don't move much, work once every 3 weeks, and eat once a month.
Or Polar Bear asteroid farmers. Deep-Sea scientists who are turtles. Theres a lot of diversity one can establish if this is a simi-reversible procedure a person can volunteer for.
I know I'll be using this idea myself the next time a bunch furries wanna invade one of my tabletop games.
