Friend, the problem is more complex than blaming it one just one prez. The biggest reason we lost was because the Taliban cared more about their country than the Afghans themselves, coupled with lies and hubris from the Pentagon.

Um...I think there needs to be things put in context here :B

This was a bum deal from the very get go. Afghanistan has been invaded, multiple times, by multiple countries, and with each invasion the invading country pretty much said it was a lost cause to keep fighting there.

And we -were- throwing good money into bad, make no mistake about it. We should have left when Osama was killed off, but we didnt because of the "optics".

Also please note that the former orangutan leader left the door WIDE open - not just in letting Russia put bounties on our troops mind you - but also releasing 5000 former soldiers with the deal made by Pompeo. That did not end well, because if its one thing that Afghanistan loves to play, its the long game. They were patient. We weren't.

And now, yes, now the Taliban has access to a lot of our more expensive firearms, rockets, tanks and maybe a few helicopters to their inventory. It wont be long before they take total control of the vast opium fields / oil fields to fund their efforts.

It wouldnt have mattered if we stayed an extra 5 years, 10, or even 100. And I will not deny IT SUCKS BALLS that we left in such a rush (thank goodness there was no real timeline announced, or it would have been complete chaos)...but just remember there was Russia involved and the Saudis had a hand in this as well.

You dont have to so much worry about their terrorism (yet) as much as we have plenty of that homegrown already bud, just Saiyan' :3

All very true, but I still wish the Taliban took more than a week to take over the country.

My biggest prayers are also for the soldiers coming back, some of them have been there for two decades. Some of them will have a hard time getting accustomed to how things are now.

(I have many Opinions about this, but they are long and drawn out)
