How the COVID-19 vaccines were created so quickly - TEDed

-- DEVIANTART -- WEASYL -- SOFURRY -- TWITTER -- BLUESKY -- The short of it is:
-It is not a standard vaccine that did not require the time intensive processes that previous vaccines use.
-they are mRNA vaccines which are the short lived molecules that tell your body how to make proteins.
-The genetic material only makes the spike proteins that would be found on the outer shell of the virus.
-mRNA vaccines are the holy grail of vaccine development and it has been in development for around 50 years.
-Being this system of vaccine administration uses a basic platform that has 1 interchangeable part, it could mean
developing better, safer, and more effective vaccines for other diseases faster than it would normally take.

Honestly, it would not surprise me if they are able to find the gene sequence that code for the proteins that makes it possible for HIV to bypass so much of immune system and then make it so our body and recognize them without having to worry about deactivating a full virus would be amazing.
Yeah!
From getting virus itself, you are talking all the way up to death. The vaccine prevents hospitalization and death, nothing is 100%, but better to have the vaccine on board rather than not.
