Stream Viewers and Art Commissioners
I've been streaming for the last month now and have started to realize how enjoyable it is. So enjoyable that I now realize that I've lost track of my responsibilities.
I’m an artist, but becoming a streamer. And in order to do streaming more, I need to fix my backlog and queue.
Streaming will end up being my dedication to outputting my commission work and finishing the queue. However, in order to do that, I’ll have to focus on art more than streaming for now.
Not to say that streaming has been at all a bad thing, but a motivation of what I want to transform to. I've enjoyed doing commissions on stream, however the distraction of enjoying my chat stops me from realizing that finishing the artwork is what’s important at the end of the day.
But even more importantly:
Completing my backlog and giving my customers an accurate time of completion. It is my responsibility, as an artist, to make sure my promises of a good time frame and good work ethic are achieved and met.
I apologize to all my commissioners; I have been lacking in both departments recently. You may blame mourning a friend's passing 2 months ago or me discovering my passion for streaming as an excuse; but, as much as that might be true, I'd rather keep my promises and give you the work you deserve.
That being said I'm making changes starting next week. Commission output is a challenge to myself. I want to stream so badly and I also want to finish my backlog. Therefore, streaming is a motivation of want and reward; my commission backlog will be my marathon. I'll be streaming every 2nd day of the week for 3 hours to keep the ball rolling and my regular viewers watching me. But I'll be working seriously hard off stream for my customers so I feel good about streaming at the end of the day.
I appreciate everyone of one of you and my patient commissioners (which has been every one of them), you've all been nothing but amazing. I'll be sending your much deserved work soon.
