Lots of 4chan speak but in spite of that it feels...legitimate? I don't know I feel like it's taking potshots at GVH and being sincere.

That's because it is, 4chan has a history of writing surprisingly strong visual novels including Katawa Shoujo if you're interested in checking that out as well. They can do some amazing things when they add spite and waifus to the mix.
Thus, AWSW's popularity on 4Chan ended up inspiring Snoot Game.
...I take it the GVH community doesn't like to boop snoots? They deserve Wojak, Spoderman and F40PH for that!
For creating the most heartfelt and humorous vn parodies to exist on 4chan, they wouldn't dare to put in malware in a game they put so much effort into.
Since the very last patch was released on November 26th (last year), it is much better than its previous versions.
