FurryDelphia 2021 was simply amazing! We smashed all our records from 2019, including for attendance and fundraising! Over 1,500 people and upwards of beyond $8,300 for charity!

The convention got off to a relatively smooth start. In the name of volunteering, I arrived early on Wednesday afternoon right from work. The drive was smooth. I bumped into  drayne_the_wolf as he and company were checking up on their rooms. When he expressed a need for staff, I immediately volunteered. I was accepted onto the IT team (considering I work in IT already, am certified, and I even possess a Top Secret security clearance), and I took care of the low-hanging fruit: running cables, setting up switches, wireless access points, and security cameras in the Dealers Den, driving to grab and buy lunch for the higher-level staff, doing inspection rounds, badge checks at certain locations, and the like. I figured I could handle the lower-end stuff while the higher-ups handle the more serious issues (so they don't have to waste their time on the lower-end jobs).

The convention was amazing! I got to rock my amazing fursuit around the convention and the raves (by  sarahcat - check her out! She's awesome!) and I got so many good compliments on it. Helping people was a real joy, even just to point out where the next panel was for convention-goers, and I even got praise for it on a convention-goer's Twitter!

I was duly honored for my services, and I was appreciative of every opportunity.

We'll be at the Sheraton next year, and I'm looking forward to climbing the Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Art Museum in suit!
