Hearken to me, my subjects!

In 2020, I paused posting new artwork because of the pandemic. I didn't want this artwork, so lovingly conceived and crafted, to be associated with the pain and suffering of deaths and lockdowns. Its not fair to Etheras nor to the artists who spent their time and talent to create such work, for the artwork to bring up memories of dark days in the minds of the viewer, and forever be associated with that pain and suffering.

However, over a year and a half into the plague, and with new treatment/vaccine resistant mutations popping up regularly, I think we have to accept that coronavirus will be endemic. It will moderate like influenza did (the most successful parasites do not kill their hosts), but I think we need to reluctantly admit its probably here to stay, and just learn to live with it.

I wanted this journal to be happy, but after that explanation, the dark cloud seems insurmountable. However, there is a kind-of relief in acceptance, and attempting to resume normal pre-coronavirus life. And part of that life was posting artwork of one cute and sexy galactic overlord fennec. So I am going to start posting again probably tomorrow. I hope that you enjoy it and that it brightens your day, and that we all have brighter days ahead where our lives are not so dominated with bleak news and illness.

And with that, I will try to keep such depressing real-world topics to a minimum. This profile should be a source of escapism, and thoughts of a vast and spreading sci-fi empire ruled by one fennec, and his... extracurricular activities.
