He should be put to sleep. That's one of the things better about this happening to a pet than a human. While it's a condition that requires that he be constantly cared for or else he'll starve to death or die of thurst, at least since he's a dog there's less of a moral attachment to prolong his existence.
(Fainting goats, on the other hand, simply sieze up for a few seconds when exited. This would be deadly for wild goats, but since they're already domesticated, and hence safe, plus their faining requires they need no more care than regular goats, they're fine just the way they are.)
I know it makes me an awful person, but I couldn't help from laughing at this little guy... He's just so pitiful.
And the goats are funny as shit. Especially the adult ones who just sort of stiffin up and hop.
