Not Giving Up #LouisianaStrong

When you think about Louisiana, you hear a lot about New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I want to talk to you about Houma in Terrebonne Parish. Taking a direct hit from Hurricane Ida, it’s my home. It’s the place I love. Born and raised. Friends and family close to me have children who go to school here. Just looking at everything that’s been toppled and ripped apart by the storm just makes me want to tear up. This goes the same for Larose, Cut-Off, Galliano, Lockport, Chauvin, Cocodrie, Dulac, Dularge, Bourg, Raceland, Thibodaux, Kraemer, Chackbay, LaPlace, Port Fourchon, and many more. It’ll be a while, at least late September until we have power and Wi-Fi again, but we’re working together as a community to get back on our feet to before but stronger. Knowing how serious these events are getting, we can’t be complacent and think it’s just another storm. Don’t be afraid to reach out to friends and family affected to check on them. See if they’re alright and/or need help. Tell people you love and care for them.
You might not know what they’re going through. And to be oblivious in your own life and relationships without taking a few seconds to show concern is about the most God awful selfish thing you could do. I wouldn’t even wish this kind of thing to my worst enemy. It’s that serious. I’ll keep most of my contact with close mutuals and friends, but when I get a chance I will keep you posted. As for commissions, they’ll be a while longer, but I’ll keep those in queue posted as well. I love you guys. See you back soon 💕

Man.. and we thought Katrina was a nightmare..
Be cautious, make whatever efforts you can to help each other down there, and please try not to do anything too risky. If there's a need for more help, let us know, ok?
