=================================================================================================================================
Skarin is a long lost warrior, from a bygone kingdom. several hundred years in the past, the great kingdoms once stood. Skarin hailed from Sunoria, Kingdom of light and the sun. A great cataclysmic event happened though: The Sundering, A great, magical fire, source of light and life on the world, was toyed with my a group of rogue wizards and casters, wanting to harness the power of the fire. It backfired, and a great eruption happened of magical fire. It Scorched and warped the land around the capital city, turning people into hellish monsters, and awakening the ancient dragons, deep from their sleep. The fire went out of control, and threatened to scorch the entire land, as it built more and more. Heroes were called to action, and some people, when the eruption happened, were chosen by the fire, Branded, to be the Fire's servants. Their goal was to get the flame under control again. The fire was benevolent, the source of pyromancies and holy magic. Legend said it was created by a compassionate god, to warm the world for its people. Skarin was one of the chosen, and left his home, friends, and family behind.
Skarin was an orphan at birth, his real parents disappearing. his basket was left in the middle of a forest, with signs of a struggle around them. whether they lived or died was unknown, only the footprints of some manor of creature. He was found by a patrol, and brought back to the guards Headquarters, where his new adoptive father took him in, and raised and trained him as his own. He had a Fiancé, Velvet. a loving shark girl that would be his wife, until The Sundering happened.
He Went about his duty, fighting horrid monsters, Dragons, and the like, Discovering the fire had blessed him with Undeath. He wouldn't stay dead, only be revived at the last place he slept at. Unknowing to him, every time he made a fire at camp, and lit it with his magic, It created a link for others to follow in his footsteps. linking a network of other waymarks for people to go behind him, incase he perished, or his soul was devoured or destroyed. These waymarks remained to the present day, being made into Roadways after the ruins of the old kingdoms were rebuilt, and turned into the more modern kingdoms in the future, laying the roadwork for roads to be built between cities and the ruins for explorers and archaeologist to study them. Skarin gathered the souls of the defeated, and made his way to the fiery pit, Feeding The flame all the souls he collected to soothe the fire. It worked, The flame sputtered, the souls he captured taking the overloading magic essence, and quelling it in a smothering of souls. The fire gave one last eruption, scorching the area around it...
...And skarin awoke. Several hundred years later, from a long, stasis. He was in a crumbled tomb, his sarcophagus untouched. He opened it to see the ruins around him, and stepped outside. He realized what he lost, he thought he was going to die, and stay dead. But he didn't, the fire granted him a chance at a new life again... Though at a cost... everything skarin loved was gone. his kingdom in Ruins, Nobody seemed to remember what the Sundering was... He was alone... He now goes about the land, dealing with his loss and grief, and trying to make a new life for himself, in a world totally unknown to him.

I feel like if Alex came from this world, he'd have a similar origin, because I always have him as a pyromancer whenever I do magic-y things with him - or if I can't, I make him use fire-based weapons.
