Hmm, probably could be a patch of rough fur - dried dirt maybes - where it hasn't been properly cleaned...or perhaps his/her could have gotten too close to the pencil sharpener XP

I know what you mean about cats - sometimes there's little or no fur at the ends, especially if they're short hair.

I've owned a number of cats and sometimes they just have sharp tail tips :3c

Those parts also break very easily [especially if they like to run into doors or fight with other animals] and usually end up at an angle. :I

No they don't get big, no they're not true vipers -- hell the hognose is more of a threat then these guys

Gods, if they are anything like the other Candoia species I would not recommend them. HUGE pain in the ass, my friend had one that didn't eat for 10 months and I still haven't gotten mine too (and yes, I know what I'm doing)

The cuteness is a trick.

Nope, been breeding them myself for 8 years -- all a matter of making sure you've got good start to work with -- I've only had to feed geckos to a single hatchling! WC animals can be a trick but there's always a way to get 'em to eat. My hardest to break from fasting animal EVER was a ball python...little turd(a WC female) would ONLY eat solid black female gerbils! Don't ask me how she could tell gender, but she did----had her 7 years, took 13 months to figure that out! Got pretty dern good at gerbil punet squares too hahah.


If you want I'd be delighted to help -- send me a note with what you've tried feeding-wise, WC or CBB status of the snake in question along with it's genus(not sure if you're working with a viper or a Solomon island or another member of the family) and general stats on enclosure(all of them-- temp range, humidity, photoperiod, number of hides, bedding type...you get the gist)

lol at "what genus", my little girl was originally thought to be a viper boa, then a Solomon island boa, then I was told Halamhera boa. Probably WC. It is a mystery! : D

holy crap! I'm so happy you're getting a cute snake, both are super cute. Hognoses have more personality though, so I say go with that. Sand boas are kind of slug-like, and you already have a ball (I think they are slug-like too)
