Seriously, I don't know. But it's nothing serious to worry about, IMO.
THIS ONE!
Those parts also break very easily [especially if they like to run into doors or fight with other animals] and usually end up at an angle. :I
If i wasn't dead set on getting a California king, I'd get a hognose :P
Both of the snakes made me go 'awwwww'. TT^TT
I guess the second is cuter? Tough choooice.
anyhow i like the second snake
But if choosing between the two listed, I'm a bigger fan of the hognose :)
Viper boa and the uber-cute hatchlings!!

The cuteness is a trick.
If you want I'd be delighted to help -- send me a note with what you've tried feeding-wise, WC or CBB status of the snake in question along with it's genus(not sure if you're working with a viper or a Solomon island or another member of the family) and general stats on enclosure(all of them-- temp range, humidity, photoperiod, number of hides, bedding type...you get the gist)

Still say Vipers rock --- such ancient looks, none of the poison lol
lol at "what genus", my little girl was originally thought to be a viper boa, then a Solomon island boa, then I was told Halamhera boa. Probably WC. It is a mystery! : D
We can herp-swap stories ANYTIME^^
I'll send you pictures of my own mystery gene-pool....a carpet of wtf origin
gees they are both so cute:D

They're only mildly venomous! My bite's only a tiny red dot now, no reaction at all outside of the bleeding profusely that accompanies any snakebite 8D
