Where were you?

As many of you know, today is the twenitieth anniversary of 9/11, so I guess it's time for those of us who were there to share our memories about where we were at the time.
I, for one, remeber hearing about it on TV, as I was on my way to work at the now-defunct YMCA of Kern County. I couldn't believe it; it was even brought up during the art class I was taking at the also now-defunct Bakersfield School of Art. Where were you on 9/11? Feel free to leave your memories in the comments below.
On a lighter note, there are still 4 slots available in the YCH Fundraiser. For information, please read this journal: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9983098/

Unfortunately I don't have any 9/11 memories because I was only about 5 months old, but my heart still goes out to everyone affected by the disaster.
