Far too many were raised by the internet and are trapped in an ignorant echo chamber instead of using the net as a simple tool. I feel when you combine that common teenage ideal of "knowing it all" and the limitless resources of being connected to the net 24/7, it can lead to weird rabbit holes like this.

"Moral abuse and manipulation" is a weird way to put it, considering a lot of the anti vs. proship/kink/fiction/whatever discourse revolves around whether pedo/zoophiles and the like should have an outlet for their harmful sexual fantasies.

Say what you will about it, but I don't think that type of thought should be encouraged- normalizing pedophilia and the like, even in fiction, desensitizes people to it. Besides, those aren't kinks, they're paraphilias- not the same thing.

I don't think harassing others is okay, but dismissing "antis"' concerns as "moral abuse" is kind of disingenuous. I'm kinda disappointed tbh.

Proship people understand all types of content will exist no matter what, even the problematic stuff, all we want is for people to tag it so we can navigate the NSFW spaces with safety.

No one asking for kinks to be normalized - just normalize the fact you shouldn't make it your only job online to hunt down NSFW creators and harass them until a mental break/IRL consequences.

Baneful covered a lot of my feelings. We support fiction, as soon as you're hurting REAL people/animals/whatever that's just a sexual predator and we have a right to remove sexual predators from our NSFW spaces as well.

honestly, it's a lot more desensitizing to call anyone and everyone you disagree with a pedophile. and sadly, that's what a vast majority of antis are doing. you could have never in your life interacted with, drawn or seen any kind of underage NSFW/suggestive content, be it fictional or not, if you say you are proship, anti-harrassment or anti-censorship antis WILL call you a pedophile.

Antis aren't changing the definition of pedophilia. This is stupid Internet discourse furthered by weird people on both sides of the spectrum, it does not affect how doctors view paraphilias. Also, it is the opposite of desensitizing. People who actively call themselves antis or participate in this shitshow want to make people overly sensitive to these things, regardless of context. That wouldn't be good either.

I'm by no means on either side, I think they're both stupid as fuck. It's weird to be completely okay with everything in fiction, and it's weird to put down anything exploring the taboo/morally reprehensible in art. Obviously, not everyone in the proship community is like the former, but it's a weird label to use because of it.

unfortunately no, i do not see your point. whether you think it's gross that i generalize antis as false accusers or not i do not care about. i speak from personal experience, i speak from the experience if everyone around me, and i have never said it was every anti acting this way, simply the vast majority. although i admit that might be wrong, in which case i apologize. i guess the more accurate way to phrase it would be the loudest part of antis, which are, majority or not, sadly the part having the most effect and causing the most damage.

and it IS desensitizing. doctors won't view it differently, obviously, but the bigger this anti movement will grow, the more the public view on the term will change. antis are the only one more sensitive by this, EVERYONE ELSE is ALREADY getting to a point where if a person is accused of being a pedophile, you can literally not tell if that means this person is an actual offender, enioys lolisho or simply doesn't support harrassment. this is a genuine issue and the more people will call others pedophiles over things that do not directly fall within the definition of pedophilia, the less the term will keep that definition in the public eye. this is a sad truth. we've seen it happen before with the word trigger losing almost all its weight due to people using it much too willy nilly. heck, i still know people who will calmly tell them theyre triggered by smth when they're really just. slightly uncomfortable.

and believe it or not, there are actual therapists and psychiatrists who will not believe you when you tell them about your triggers, whether they are real or not. because in the public view the term has been worn down to mean hardly anything anymore.

this is threatening to happen to the word pedophile. believe it or not, i couldn't care less, but i deeply fear that if things will continue this path, in a view years there will be kids growing up genuinely not knowing the real definition of pedophilia, there will be therapists not taking victims of pedophiles serious because of this. it's happened before. it can happen again.

You see something you think is illegal? You report it either to site owners or authorities (or both), and then block/cut contact. That's the only way a decent person would behave.

I don't know if I have any particular ships like that off the top of my head. Like I've stated before, I want content tagged so I can either look for the stuff I do want to see or avoid/block out all the content I don't want to see. Underage artwork isn't really my thing and I block it out when I can because I have my own triggers.

Thanks to anti though people are all scared to correctly tag and label their content, especially the problematic stuff, due to prolong and very serious harassment. So now all NSFW spaces are pretty messy and have a lot of misunderstandings. Sucks a lot is all and I wish it didn't have to be like that.

Mmmm I don't think so. I draw feral/pokemon nsfw and animal crossing nsfw. I draw pokemon and their trainers. I have lots of incest ships. I just don't really engage in specific tags like underage myself but I'm into a lot of problematic and violent content for stories and nsfw art.

I get people who message me all huffy and mad about the stuff I draw. It got so bad I had to clear my gallery of it to make it stop.

I didn't know it was an active, coordinated thing though... oh jeez...

It's really scary, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I had something similar happen to me on other media sites and it just awful.

it really is... Like.. Ok, I draw some gory stuff, but unless you're a BIG NAME already in the community and can get the help of others, you post it, and people will be awful. A LOT of the time they would come after me in other methods of communication to avoid making it easy to punish them, like... Someone spread my discord and steam IDs around a few years ago and it's still kind of floating around, and I still get harassment for a couple of gruesome pics I posted years later. Staff are gonna always be, in any site, hesitant to act on harassment that doesn't take place on their platform, and again, lack of popularity means even less willingness to provide aid.

But, if you aren't a big name already, no one wants to help you. it's fucking bullshit, ya know? I'm afraid to post anything new up because of what might come of it.

Thank you ;w; I've been suicidal since I was 13 (I'm 21 now) because I started feeling attraction to feral and cub characters and kept seeing comments about how unacceptable that is. I've seen several psychologists and psychiatrists about it; most of them didn't know what to say and just referred me to someone else, but finally I saw a forensic psychiatrist, and she concluded I'm not a threat to real animals or children and there's nothing wrong with me, except for the depression and self hatred. That was a relief, but even after hearing that, the self hatred still won't go away. I just see so many people saying that people like me are "problematic" for merely existing, that I start to believe it. I start to think "well, it seems like there isn't room in the world for people like me, so I should probably leave".
