Can't play Diablo 2 Resurrected

It's been 2 days now and I have yet to even be able to launch the game. At first, trying to launch the game did nothing. Now I can launch the game, but it immediately crashes after opening the game window. I played the beta on this same PC and it worked fine.
I've tried everything. Uninstalling the game and reinstalling, logging out and then back into battle.net app, restarted pc, ran D2R as admin, updated drivers, scanned the games files for any corruption via the blizzard app. Nothing works, I'm honestly getting worried it won't ever work and I'll have to request a refund

My mother plays it but it taxes her "good pc" really a lot and makes grafical card run like nuclear reactor
this game renders like 5-20 character and mostly 2d enviroment and like 40m patch of land and some particles
there is no reason it should use so much procesing power of GPU and CPU
old d2 could run on your samsung fridge , bruh
