I think 2012 is total bullshit and if the next person spews at me for this year being the end of the world again, they're getting their ass sent all the way to Peru.

Honestly, have you seen all the predictions people made on what's the end of the world? They never come true. People thought we'd be dead at Y2K and when June 6, 2006 rolled around. And yet I'm still here. What a surprise. I think we need to accept the fact that humans are lousy at predicting future events and the end of the world will occur at a random date (from tomorrow to when the sun explodes).

And we survived a lot of disasters anyway: The Ice Age, The Fall of the Roman Empire, The Black Plague, World War I and II... If anything would kill us off, it'd had to do it instantly and 100 effectively.
