I'very been mostly absent after getting back from Gencon. Work sort of picked up unexpectedly afterwards, and I have really just not felt like drawing after work. I hope this will change soon, but no guarantees.

I like the story, I like the setting, I even like most of the gameplay. But the multiplayer is so damn terrible that it makes the single player unworkable.

Got to anor londo. wasted 6 or 7 hours trying to walk up a flying buttress got inside the damn building and then found out that using humanity in the place guarantees you get ganked. with a long walk to the damn boss battle.

So fuck it.

So I was reminded I still had a few dollars of credit on my 360 and I decided to buy a game.

looking at the list that was on sale I narrowed it down to Dark Souls, which people have yammered about insistently, and spartan assault, which had shinny armor.

Dark Souls was $5

Spartan Assault was $15

Hah! well this was an easy decision I of course picked the Spartans!

They're a pair of links related to coverage of a show about men who dress up as women through the use of rubber suits.

while I get the desire here, I do not quite get the execution on it. I mean if you're not going to get the face convincing enough to look like you aren't wearing a mask, I would have thought there would be more of a tendency toward stylization and exaggeration.

Unsurprisingly I'd also have rather seen a bit more corsetry and padding happening but well that's just me. er well and partly because there is no costume in the world clever enough to get me to pass for a thin anything.

I've got a week of vacation coming up, and due to bad luck and a certain degree of trechery none of the people I know in person are free except for monday and saturday. which of course means screwing around on the internets.

So where do people hang out on the internets? I've had this feeling for a while that most of you know each other from somewhere other than FA/DA/Weasyl, and that I'm just seeing bits of stray conversations from else where. I hung around on second life for a while, but gave that up when the client stopped playing nicely with my computer, I've also poked around on IRC a bit.

so that's my question is there somewhere, or is this another case of me reading a situation wrong?

X-com is $10 on steam currently, so I'm playing that now.

So I just found out about this, http://antarcticpresslibrary.com/ and it made my day. I had previously read up to #100 (series 3 #50) via the gold bricks but I was no where near up to date. now given a few weeks I can get up to 200 and then pick the series back up.

Also E-maulered an alien robot this afternoon. that is also a plus.
