General | Posted 10 years ago2016's just begun and already we've lost the life of a skilled artist.
jasentamiia has died due to circumstances the details of which I have not been informed yet. I wasn't into everything he drew, and I may not have known him all that well, but he was a talented person. May he rest in peace.

General | Posted 10 years agoAnd it fee~eels so good
Yup! I'm working part-time, in store at Papa John's! This week has mostly been training, with some makeline work, but today's been almost entirely makeline, and today was really hectic! I was on my feet for three hours straight. My only consolation was an orange crush toward the end, paid for by a meager tip and and employee discount.
But yeah, now that I have a job I won't be able to work on commissions as handily. And don't be surprised if there's a price increase in the future. Opportunity cost, and all.

General | Posted 10 years agoBig Sonic Characters Picture
General | Posted 10 years agoI'm making a really big picture involving a lot of Sonic characters wearing a uniform based on Rouge the Bat's outfit. I've already got 14 characters in:
Amy, Blaze, Cream, Lupe, Marine, Nicole, Sally, Shade, Shadow, Silver, Sonic, Sticks, Tails, Tikal, and Vanilla, and I'm planning on adding Fiona and Mina. Any more ideas?

Skills
General | Posted 10 years agoI wrote this list back in 2008 for a high school class, and that crusty piece of paper has been hanging on the corkboard in the back of the room since then. We had been asked to write a list of skills one should have in the future. Naturally, since we were almost all 14-year-olds, I decided to write the most coherent and relevant list I could think of.
Time management
Pay attentioning
Giving me a dollar
Social skills
Work ethic
Understanding

Docking the Cheat's allowance

Instead of making a holiday-related picture for you guys, I forgot, so instead enjoy this messy flash comic I made and uploaded a day late last year.

Going over Sketches
General | Posted 11 years agoI recently obtained a copy of Manga Studio 5, so I've decided to go over some of the sketches in the program so I can see the ropes of the program (e.g. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14986293/). What sketches would you people like to see made into colorful? Also, feel free to share any Manga Studio tutorials and tips.
Help Out a Friend!

CaptainZana is in dire need of some income due to hardware repairs and parental issues, so she's opening up some commissions to bring in money. She does really nice work, so it would be apreciated if any of you could drop her a line to purchase a picture from her.

General | Posted 11 years agoGot my copy of the new Smash Bros game on 3DS; it's quite nice! The controls are very tight and attacks are satisfying to pull off. I've also made several of my Miis into fighters. I haven't played very much, though. One issue I have is that the characters are tiny to the extent that you pretty much need one of those 3DS XLs to see what's going on without ruining your eyes. Still, I look forward to playing it! On a related note, does anyone know how to take screenshots on a 2DS?
In other news, I've got a job interview scheduled. I hope I do well!

Recently I acquired RPG Maker VX Ace on sale on Steam and my ideas for RPGs to make are scant. I also got a character asset creator, so there's that.

Feeling Neutral
General | Posted 11 years ago1) School's starting back up this next Monday, so I won't be able to spend as much time doing digital art.
2) I've been sneezing and sniffling for the past couple of days. It kinda sucks. I only have about half a box of tissues remaining.
Those are not so good things. These things, however, are better:
3) I've finally completed and posted all the requests! It feels so good to have all that out of the way, and I think that a few of those were really good work of mine!
4) I'm seeing a doctor and getting some Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, so I've been feeling better mentally.
5) Uhhh... That's it, I suppose.
So yeah.
To-Do:
-Commission for izia (Currently discussing and clarifying details)
-Commission for notmolo (Waiting)
-Art Trade with FREETZO (On hold)
-Art Trade with Joshua37 on DA (In Progress)
-Art Trade with Momoyoy on DA

General | Posted 11 years agoSo I've gotten through all of my commissions, unless there was one I forgot about, so I have some time on my hands for more commissions. So, inspired by

Where do these Shiros come from?
Shiros, particularly female Shiros shown here, were inspired in part by LordOmegaZ's Pinky character. Other than that, they're not really "from" anything. In-Universe, they're made in a factory, from silicone and latex.

Actually pretty good
General | Posted 11 years agoI haven't felt the jolt in my arm since the day it happened; I think it had more to do with the electrical cord I was using than a muscle sprain.
Anyways, since Spring Break is drawing to a close, I'll be moving back into the dorms where my art computer is, so I'll be able to work on commissions as soon as tomorrow night. (Very reasonable rates! Get them while they're hot!) I've even prepared some very nice ink/paper drawings I think you'll enjoy.

Not Too Good
General | Posted 11 years agoSo I recently returned from Santa Fe (The weather was cold and windy, maing me grateful for the relatively mild weather where I live; other than that, it was pretty deeply entrenched in its history, and I got souvenirs for, like, eight bucks) and right now I'm feeling just a little down.
Anyway, I was doing some yard work earlier and I felt a sharp jolt in the forearm of mygold-spinning drawing arm. I haven't seen a doctor about it yet, but I'm expecting the worst.

Status Update 10/2/2014
General | Posted 12 years agoHey, everybody. This is just lettin' y'all know what's happening.
Mood is down, but not by too much. School is okay, I'm in the process of seeing some advisors about changing my major; it's going slow.
In terms of art, Commission progress is rather slow. Right now:
2-page comic commission, 1/2 done
2-character Trade
4koma mermaid TF comm
Hopefully the second derivative of the graph of my productivity will be positive at least soon. That's Calculus talk, everyone.

General | Posted 12 years agoNew School Year = Anxiety
General | Posted 12 years agoIt's a new school year, and I've moved back into the dorms, which can only mean one thing: I get sick to my stomach worrying about the consequences of the new school year while facing very little possibility of positive personal growth. I really should see a counselor.
Aside from that, I have a new roommate (I had the room to myself the semester prior) so art work in general will be impacted at least slightly, but I hope to be able to improve my artistic skills.

Happy New Year
General | Posted 12 years agoIt's January 1st, and euhh... It can't be known whether it will be better or worse than the previous year, but we can try to put on a mindset that allows us to try to make the year better. Maybe. I don't know, I just woke up.
My resolutions are to keep improving my art, focus more on schoolwork, and to get commissions done more quickly. *Shrugs*
I hear the Chinese Year of the Horse is starting up in about a month, so I could probably draw more ponies and horse-style bondage. I might also look into military uniform-style latex catsuits, e.g. http://fav.me/d6p5ik2
Other than that, who can tell what will happen? Try and make the world a better place this year, okay?
