General | Posted 12 years agoI was notified earlier today that my grandpa passed away.
While I'm not happy that's he's gone, per se, I also don't feel that it was wrong for him to die. He was about 90 years old, he smoked every day since I knew him, and he was really sun-baked. He lived a long, full life, he brought up three girls and one boy, all of whom had children of their own, including me.
So long, grandpa. You'll be remembered.

piptoons is in need of commissions because his internet is going to get cut off if he doesn't pay the bill. I ordered a commission from him, and he'll draw basically anything for $10. I've heard that the U.N. lists internet as a basic human right, so help keep a travesty from happening.Better Now

I'm also a bit embarrassed to admit that I may have lost track of some commissions.
So far, the only ones I can remember off the top of my head are:

Ohh, my back...
General | Posted 12 years agoI hurt my back somehow... I went to see the doctor, and he said that I had a sprained something-or-other. I got a prescription, and I was told to come back if it doesn't get better. I might not be able to get to do too much digital art while I'm afflicted, but I'll do my best to keep producing while I'm down.

Therefore, I shall now be taking traditional art commissions in addition to digital art.
The rates are as follows:

One character: $2 sketch, $4 inked, $5 colored
2-3 characters: $5 sketch, $8 inked, $12 colored
Additional characters: +$1.50x sketch, +$2.50x inked, +$3.50 colored

General | Posted 12 years agoMy Digital art computer is still in the shop, and I need paypal money, so I'm opening up traditional art commissions (I.E. sketch, ink, and/or marker-colored pictures) as soon as I figure out a good price ratio. Maybe $2 for a sketch, $4 for inked picture, $6 for a color picture? If it works out, I might do it full-time.
I may even include an option to ship the picture straight to your house! I also may not, depending on whether or not people ask for it.

General | Posted 12 years agoMy digital art computer won't start up. I'm going to have it looked at during the week, but until I can get it fixed, I can't work on digital art. I also won't be able to chat on Steam, for those of you who usually contact me that way. I can still scan things, using my laptop, but I can't do drawings in Flash.
Well, back to digital drawing.
General | Posted 12 years agoI've finally got enough of my things moved to the dorm that I can digital-draw again. I've also got a dual-moniter setup, so now I can watch youtube and draw in Flash without having to switch between windows, and scroll up and down with an actual mouse wheel instead of the arrow keys. Hopefully I'll be more productive, as opposed to less productive. Even equally productive would be a good thing.
Got back from a show
General | Posted 12 years agoSo I just got back from a Queens of the Stone Age concert at Red Rocks amphitheater in Denver. It was really something else, I have to say. Queens of the Stone Age is the first band I've seen live that wasn't related to school or Weird Al Yankovic (well, second with the opening act, but the opening act wasn't who I got tickets to see). I got a T-shirt and a CD for souvenirs, and I got a pretzel, a soda, and two waters (One for me, one for my sister and her friend) at the concessions stands.
The first thing about the concert was the opening act, Gogol Bordello. They were a really engaging band, with drums, two guitars, a space violin, and an accordion, plus occasional tom-toms or marching band bass drum. If you haven't heard of them, I'd suggest giving them a look. Unfortunately, I wasn't as able to enjoy their music as I might have been if I had found a person giving out earplugs earlier. Also, my sister thought that the sound balance was overall a bit off, with too much focus on guitars and gain and all that.
Then there was the headliner, Queens of the Stone Age. The experience was really good with them, with the creepy new visuals and intertwining of newer songs with those I was well-acquainted with, such as "Make it wit chu," "No one knows," and "Sick, Sick, Sick." I couldn't stay the whole time, since everyone was standing up all the time, and I felt my feet going numb a few times throughout the evening, not mentioning all the secondhand smoke coming from people's cigarettes or possibly blunts/doobies (I wasn't feeling any sort of a high, so they might not have been), but it was something new, something that I hadn't experienced, and I was glad I went.
Plus, there were these two chicks down front wearing low-cut skinny jeans and moderately skimpy tops dancing suggestively with each other. Tell me you wouldn't want to have seen that.

General | Posted 12 years agoWell, the fan on the video card that came standard with my computer has been making some funny noises and eating food out of my freezer that I had SPECIFICALLY TOLD IT that I was saving for my lunch today, so I got a newer, beefier card to replace it. However, after opening it and finding that the power supply for my computer wasn't compatible, I had to put the old card back in until the problem could be rectified.
On the bright side, the backup drive I bought fared much better. Now I don't have to rely on a cheap 2GB flash drive to store all my old FLA files and pictures!

This is because I received two or three new requests after finishing one recently, which seems to be the case quite regularly. So, in order to clear out the list, I have stopped taking requests until all of the requests on The List are finished.

Picture with 3 or more Characters: $6 for three characters, +$2.50 for each additional character
No background: Free, included with free requests and commissions with no ordered background
Solid color background: $0.25
Gradient Background (Please Specify when you order the picture): $0.75
Specific Background (You can tell what the location of the picture is, please specify): $1.50
4komas (Vertical 4-Panel Comic Strips)
$10 for one 4koma
$15 for each 4koma after that
+$5.00 for any pictures or strips that must be rated 18+
I absolutely WILL NOT Draw the following subject matter:
-Fecal Matter (Including but not limited to Scat, Piss, and Diaper)
-Erotic Gore (Including but not limited to amputation, sewing, snuff, and Spit roasting)
