im writing a comic.
im also trying out a "new-ish" style to see if i can make drawing go more quickly, while still looking interesting and retaining quality.
SOO. you guys gotta help me.
for practice, i'm taking "RPG" commissions - your character done up in fancy (but still cartoony) fantasy clothes and given character classes and stats and junk. (please pick from THIS LIST for now)

seriously though. theres this sweet rave party in downtown ATL on the 30th themed after "Ferngully" (to which half of the young'uns going dont realise that its a movie). apparently there are 2 rooms -
Room 1:
"THE LAST RAINFOREST: Journey to a magical place filled with UV reactive plants, fantastic creatures, glowing mushrooms, plenty of fairy dust, and organic, uplifting jams!"
Room 2:
"HEXXUS: A grimy, evil mechanical monster filled with smoke, lasers, and beats nastier than a paralyzed cat doing backward somersaults into a septic tank."

i really need to learn to pick up my pace (while still retaining quality) and i thought that might be a good way of doing it...and hammering my discipline into myself as well.

that being said, i AM indeed going to AC (after much arguing with my workplace).
there will be:
- 4 styles of badges ( regular, postage, cereal, and bobblehead ).
- 4 types of posters ( sonic and tails, muppet labs w/ bunsen and beaker, 'left-overs',and a NEW sesame street ).
- AANNND 5 different CARTOONY PROP charms (made into necklaces, earrings, and cellphone danglies)
if you want badges, note me and we can prolly work a discount for doing stuff ahead.
i'll be posting example pics over the next 2-3 days.

this sucks.
so now, for AC, i may be lacking in some merch:
long story short, i was making cutie-mark charms through my small-run printer...and they decided not to be so small-run anymore. now they're forcing me to print out double the amount for double the price. any smaller amounts are no longer an option (ie - they wont let me do more than 4 different images...where as i had 7, covering the 'mane' cast).
fuck.
now i'm stuck trying to figure what im doing with these charms. printing a "double order" is too many for me to be able to print without knowing if it'll move.
so now, do i try to print them w/o as many CM as originally planned or should i bite the bullet and try to sell my original designs?

there is no door; only one thin window in the corner of the ceiling.
my mouth tastes like pennies. my hands are bound by cables.
staring out the little window, i note that the grass is still overgrown.

General | Posted 14 years agoand as much hate as the "Looney Tunes Show" may have garnered from people, i still will give it a chance. they are trying something new and i think it will work. yeah its not slapstick, but you dont see many people trying to emulate Chaplin anymore (though that woud be killer). it may work, it may not. lets see it stretch its legs. Looney Tunes 'trying to stay relevant', is exactly what they've always been - a parody of 'modern' society. the 50s/60s ones did the same thing. fuck, i only started paying attention to turn of the century shit and old movie stars because they were 'relevant at the time'. i wouldnt known who the FUCK clark gable was or why he didnt give a damn, if it wasnt for WB being 'relevant'.
