in a bit of self reflection, i realize how much i've changed over the past couple of years. failed relationships, suck jobs, deaths, and other various inconveniences - they're all a part of life. i've been able to deal and adapt thus far.

but right now i look at myself and i dont know how i came to be who i am. no. scratch that. what life events did what to me and how they molded me, i know exactly how it came to be. but i just dont know if i like what i see when i look in the mirror.

i really wish i could go back, but i dont even know if thats possible. my old self was far too naïve but sweet, and i currently am just disgusted with who i've become. and the knowledge i've accumulated would just NOT work with the previous version of myself. its just not compatible. i've learned shortcuts for cutting down on the pains i didnt know how to handle, but it also cuts down on the quality of what was once my life.

i have yet to become comfortable w/ such displeasures, but i dont know if i can help but to just become accustom to them. there has to be a medium that i dont have to sacrifice (anymore of) my soul for.

didnt go see "Iron Man 2" yet with my dad.
he was too excited when he saw that "Prince of Persia" had a movie.

that HAD to be one of the first games me and him played when i was little. and no, i'm 26, so im not talking playstation. I'm talking 1989 MS-DOS PoP.

i told him there were sequels, but he never really wanted to see/play them (mostly since he didnt have the system). but i was pleased all in all to see how mch he enjoyed the new movie.

i'm gonna bring all my art stuff, but otherwise, i dont take up that much room. i can sleep on the floor.

i'm not particularly noisy, but i do tend to come and go at odd hours (which shouldnt be a surprise since its a con). i do drink, but if this is a problem, i'll be sure i wont bring my drunk ass back to the room until i've sobered up. i'm prolly gonna be there from thursday to monday morn (i think i may be taking greyhound). i'm not sure though. im just trying to figure out my options here.

- distortion: "lime blasted" dew; looks like watered-down regular dew.

- white out : like someone took an orange soda and mixed it with a fresca, with some lemon zest for flavor. still something i cant decipher in there.. (B)
- distortion: not feeling it. tastes like someone added carbonation to 'countrytime' powdered lemonade. (C-)
- typhoon: delicious. its got a damn good syntho-pinapple, i can tell ya that. i cant say where, but i know i've tasted this before. oh well. *drinks* (A-)

BONUS FACT - Doritos' "The Quest" mystery-flavoured chip, put out in 2008 were actually flavoured like mountain dew. which is really weird, but now that i know, its like "OMG HOW DID I NOT REALISE!!". i normally dont like mnt dew, but those chips were kinda kick ass.

but i dont even know if people still buy folios anymore.

so, for consumers and artist alike:
- what format is most convenient for you (dvd/cd, paper, small print books)?
- full colour or b/w?
- what kinda low-priced (under $5) knicknaks would you like?
- do prints still sell? if they do, would you like to be able to buy the portfolio pics separately?

- any advice about portfolios is most welcome.
